Recommended by the guys from a nearby hair salon, I came here for a late lunch. I love paella, but being one person I didn't think I would have been able to eat it all and on a time limit as restaurants close midday to prep for dinner service.
This restaurant is pretty big. It goes deep in the back with several tables good for solo diners, couples, and large groups as I saw space around the time I went. I'm sure they get crowded during peak hours.
I ordered pastel de camarão (shrimp) - quantity 4 pieces. Of course it came with the pimenta azeite which I loveeee so much. The pastels were perfect! I also had an abacaxi bravo caipirinha which had pimenta rosa, pineapple, and maracujá. You really cannot go wrong with pastels or caipirinhas - at least in my opinion! I'm a simple gal.
Most of the staff was friendly and I got to have a nice chat with a couple of them. I will have to come back one day to try their paella! They had a mini corner stage in the back where I believe they host live music on certain nights. The afternoon I was there, I got to watch someone thinly slicing meats from the table I was seated at. They recently celebrated their anniversary back in March when I had visited, though I cannot remember how many years it said on the wall and I didn't take a foto of it... but it was a lot of years! read more
