My expectations were low on the way to Deep Dish PR, but today was the day! On a Saturday afternoon, the place was packed. Clearly word is getting around. We ordered the Spicy Honey Pepperoni (pepperoni with hot honey drizzle) - tavern style, and the "Downtown" (pepperoni, sausage, onion, and green pepper) - Deep Dish. Both were on point! Hands down, nothing I have had on the island comes anywhere near this place in flavor, quality, and execution. The staff was really nice. I met the owners (because I had to know who finally brought this to the island and thank them!) My assistant was with me and he was blown away and I realized that it is because while he's had pizza before, since he is born and raised on the island, he didn't know what pizza was actually supposed to be! (LOL). Now sadly, he is ruined for pizza. His entire life was a lie in this regard. He didn't stop smiling the entire time he was eating it. Anyway... 5 stars to these guys.
