You can get everything here from cat food to breakfast cereal, and the store is open till midnight. OMG, midnight, whatever is Adelaide coming to??? It's an outdoor market and due to some new re-development next to the Hart Mill, there is a fantastic playground for the kids and a lovely seating area. The market starts at 9am to 1pm and with food stalls, I highly recommend coming for a delicious breakfast. They have pop-up cafe serving fairtrade Campos coffee, there are also many food stalls with the emphasis on local. From Bakerhus pies and sweet pastries, raw bliss balls and of course a stall from the famous Port Adelaidean cafe, Red Lime Shack, who sell delicious smoothies and vegetarian delights. Stick around and listen to the buskers, then wander around and pick up some organic fruit and vegetables, grab a freshly pressed organic apple juice, perhaps purchase some seedlings to grow your own herbs and vegetables. Then back to one of the other food stalls for an early lunch! You can take the girl out of Port Adelaide, but you can't take Port Adelaide out of the girl! I am proud of the area and proud of how its evolving. All the produce is fresh and ready to be packaged up for you to take home. The staffs in the deli section are always busy! You will need to reach for a number as I almost guarantee you will need to wait your turn. They are happy for you to try different sliced meats and olives, so do not hesitate to ask to assist with your decision. As for the fruit and veg, it is generally well priced and fresh. You will find a good organic produce section here with a larger than normal. The fruit and veg are always arranged quite neatly and during the busy periods you will find staff constantly re-stocking. Like most Romeo Foodlands, you will find a very diverse range of products from around the world and a lot of locally sourced goods. They are very South Australian proud and I have found the most amazing local products here. One thing to mention about this store is the amazing bakery section. The bread, rolls, pastries and cakes are all of very high quality and are baked daily. You will find all different types of sourdoughs, rye, baguettes, pizzas, loafs, etc... Aldi is a better alternative also because it provides more jobs to locals. Unlike the local Coles and Woolworths, Aldi has no self serve operated systems so you get the attention you need when shopping. I highly recommend Aldi above all other local supermarkets.

Not for Mother's day but because I often buy her flowers, and often fro metropolitan. I bought delphiniums which looked lovely and she was pleased. By Sunday morning, the majority of the leaves had wilted and half of the petals had fallen off! Because it was Mother's Day and we had family and friends visiting I did not have time to go back with them. By Monday morning they had to be binned. I returned on Wednesday, the first opportunity I had to report this. I spoke with the unnamed "manager" who advised they were aware that growers had been cutting flowers in some cases a couple of weeks early in order to get enough into store. I pointed out that I did not pay for 2 week old flowers and there was no sign saying they were reduced in any. Effectively he admitted they were selling produce not of merchantable quality. I was just met with a shrug and told if I had the flowers and a receipt he might be able to do something. Who keeps a receipt for a $20 bunch of flowers, and who keeps a dead bunch for days?The so called manager obviously had no idea of consumer laws, or even customer service. It wouldn't have been so bad as I wasn't looking for a refund, just to let them know. An apology would have been plenty.
