I'm going there tonight but I would suggest calling Yelp and telling them to take down any negative reviews. They do it all the time.

I wasn't expecting much from an Irish pub connected to a Best Western, but Paddy O'Flaherty's ended up being a pleasant surprise. It's always good to see Guinness on tap, but especially in a place where you wouldn't normally depend on it. There's more than enough seating, and plenty of attractive wood finish to offset any TGI Friday's type preconceptions you might have. I don't think the Dubliners will be playing here anytime soon, but for an Irish pub attached to a hotel out in the boonies, it's more than adequate. read more

Very dirty. One employee tending the bar and the entire restaurant on a Saturday. Cereal from breakfast still under our table at night. Table was filthy. Food terrible. Draft beer had flecks of filth in it. The owner was there playing on his phone while the one employee (who was half-drunk) had to tend the entire restaurant. Nothing "Irish" about this place at all. This place is a wreck. Out of this, out of that, tap system broke for days. Very unorganized. Running like an amateur restaurant. Who owns this place? Who's managing it? Needs lots of help. One of the most unintentionally hilarious dining experiences ever. Came here the day before St. Patrick's Day. Super Bowl Sunday for your average Irish pub, right? Uh, not so much. Despite there literally being only 2 other tables in the entire place, our waitress and her trainee were entirely overwhelmed. She began the night by pronouncing Smithwick's as ... well, SMITH-wick's. The presumably experienced bartender pronounce it the same way, so maybe she didn't know better. My Guiness-and-SMITHwick's black & tan was room temperature. My mom ordered balsamic vinaigrette for her salad. "I'm sorry," the waitress says. "That's the ONE dressing we're out of." So she orders the strawberry vinaigrette. "Oh, we're out of that too." My daughter's salmon had what appeared to be a scoop of canned DelMonte apple preserves heaped on top. When my overcooked burger came I asked for catchup and mustard. Fifteen minutes passed. Nothing. Suddenly she reappeared and did a dead stop, realizing she'd forgotten not only my catchup request, but that of the table next to me. (One of 2 other tables present, mind you.) She returned shortly thereafter with two catchup bottles ... both 99.99% empty. Not to worry! She informed us that "If you come back tomorrow morning we'll have more." Uhh, okay. I retire to the bathroom, where they have one of those "today's sports page" things mounted over the urinal. That's cool, right? So I start reading all about the Illini win last night. But that's weird, because they haven't played in 3 days and just got shut out of the NCAA (again). Oh, wait ... this sports page is from JANUARY 4, 2015. That is, TWO MONTHS AGO. By the end I was praying for the night to go on and on, just for the sheer hilarity of it all. Most entertaining meal ever. read more

I stayed at hotel for a couple nights so it was convenient to stop in. First night I ate dinner. It was good but mother special. The menu is very limited. They didn't have enough staff to keep up with everyone so you had to wait for a drink quite often. The rest of the week I went out to other places and then came back for a couple drinks. The bartender was great and really hustled. Would go back for drinks but not food. read more

If you're looking for an authentic irish pub then this is not the place for you, however, what food they do offer is quite good. They are sorta hidden by the fact that they're located in a hotel, and that might be one of the reasons they are not very busy. The guy who served us was very friendly and the food we ordered was pretty delicious. If I was in Morton again I'd definitely stop on in. read more

Breakfast was hot and complimentary which is a good thing because its not something I'd pay for. The biscuits and gravy were clearly processed and the eggs were powdered as evidenced by the taste and how they looked glossy. I would rate this right up there with cafeteria food. read more

Good food bad service! The menu only has about 10 items on it but they are good ones. The only bad thing is the service. They are under staffed because you can tell they dont get alot of customers. My waiter was also the bartender and cook the day I was there and this was at 5:30pm. read more

Took 10 minutes to get a menu, 50 minutes to get a beer, 30 minutes for food (my wings were incorrect and my friends side was as well) and 10 minutes to get check. Worst service I've ever had at a restaurant hands down, and the waitress had the audacity to blame it on the cook. No no no sweety, he screwed up the food, you screwed up the service. My wife and I used to love this place but apparently it has changed mgmt. and menu three weeks ago. Gone are traditional Irish fare such as shepherds pie. The menu is in fact very limited. We both ordered fish an chips, with a half mound of onion rings. The onion rings were very good, full sized rings in a good batter, however no dipping sauce was served or offered to us. The fries were hot and good typical fries done well but the fish was a bit overcooked, at best it would have just been okay even if cooked properly. I am going to be very critical of the service here. The waitress was nice but not competent. Almost every visit to our table started with "I'm sorry...." . I ordered a Black and Tan and neither our waitress or the bartender had a clue what I was talking about. Luckily the manager overheard and stepped in. He seemed pretty sharp and attentive but the rest of the help just didn't know what they were doing. Like I said earlier, new mgmt., seemed like new crew. They may get better as time goes on but I won't be going back. I'll stay on the other side of the river and go to the Fox Pub and Café in Peoria. read more

My wife and I walked in on a Saturday night to a not busy restaurant. We stood at the front waiting to be seated for several minutes without seeing anyone. I walked in a little further and made eye contact with a bartender expecting someone would be sent right over but apparently this place doesn't need business and we walked out the door. I will never go back and will share our experience to our many friends as well. read more

According to the local news, this restaurant is under new ownership. It's still the worst service in town. We went on a Friday night, hoping for an improvement from our last experience. We were quickly seated by a friendly waitress who took our drink order - one soda, one water. I had planned to order a beer, but couldn't ascertain what kind of beer they serve. Drinks aren't listed on the very limited menu. The only thing that's even remotely Irish (besides the name) is the excessively loud canned music blaring from a single speaker in our corner. (The special was chicken Alfredo.) We were seated next to the bar, but the bartender was nowhere to be seen for most of this time. When he was present, he was deeply engaged in a conversation with the lone customer at the bar. After 15 minutes, we still hadn't received our drinks. We cut our losses and left. If you are looking for a quiet spot to enjoy beer and company I would recommend checking it out. My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner and the waiter was a little busy with a business group of 8 total, that all came in individually expecting drink orders at different times (every servers nightmare!!) . We were seated near the bar and enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. There was a bit of a wait on food but after we ordered our Pretzel sticks as an appetizer, a few men had seated themselves at the bar. The menu is small but it takes away from the overwhelming choices you end up having two minutes to decide over at chilli's and the olive garden. My boyfriend had the Reuben with waffle fries and I would recommend that! Our server dropped off the bill and was very apologetic about time and being busy, but in reality I was more sorry for him. He was the host, server,bartender...and possibly the cook? I don't think they get extremely busy being located within a hotel and hidden off of the main road, but even a host would be a nice asset to help with seating, drink refills, and even to pre-bus the tables throughout the meal. Looked at Yelp for review on Paddys and was almost going to cancel our plans to eat there with friends but decided to go anyway. I knew that the hotel had new owners and that the food for the banquet facility attached was being directed by a long-time chef from the Peoria area, Frank Peulla who also owns a restaurant in the basement of the Commerce Bank building as well as a catering business. Frank's food is great so decided to give Paddy's a try. There is now a large menu to choose from with a variety of sandwiches, salads, steaks and appetizers as well as dessert! (Guiness Chocolate cake made by Desserts Unlimited is awesome....my husband thanks you for this!) We were waited on very quickly and efficiently served by Bobbi. Drinks were taken and delivered followed by salads and before we could finish those, dinner was served. Two of us had Irish Reuben burgers, 1 had a Reuben sandwich, another had a bacon cheeseburger while the last of our group had the chicken wrap.(6 0z burgers) We all LOVED the food, service and the promptness of the delivery in general. The only think that I'm missing from the old Paddy's menu is the Shepards Pie and the meatloaf dinner, both good faire. Just really glad to see that Paddy's has a good chance of making another "go" of it and just in time for St. Patrick's Day!! Plan to stop in and let's get this restaurant back on the map in Morton.
