Other than that, it was a great trip! It's a nice mix of peaceful trees and city views. I also paddled through a sailing team practice, which was cool. The boats were in great shape. The life jackets were showing their age, but I guess that's what you get with rentals. They estimated 1.5 - 2 hours for this trip, and it took me about an hour. I docked a star from this location, because the workers didn't really seem to know what was going on when I returned the boat. I needed to let them know I came from the other location and the responses were "that's cool" and "okay" and "I don't know what to do with that". Turns out you have to check out in a trailer at the end of the dock and tell them, but no one seemed to know. Still a great trip!

Their season passes and Fourth of July rentals make the experience even better--highly recommend! _______________________________ I love being outdoors, especially on the water, and Paddle Boston has become one of my favorite spots in the city. I discovered them shortly after moving to Boston and working in Cambridge, and it has been a go-to ever since. Their kayak rentals are fairly priced and offer an amazing way to enjoy the Charles River with unbeatable views of both the Boston and Cambridge skylines. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Their kayaks are perfect for the calm waters of the Charles, not overly advanced but not basic either, just right for a relaxing paddle. I also love that they offer season passes for frequent paddlers and special rentals for the Fourth of July Boston Pops Fireworks, which is truly the best way to experience the show. While I typically take the T to get there, parking nearby on Main Street has never been an issue. If you are looking for a fun and easy outdoor activity in the city, I highly recommend Paddle Boston at Kendall Square.

a BYOB Brews Cruise around Boston Harbor?! Yes, please!…read more Cycleboat Boston, based in Charlestown, is a family-owned company providing both public tours and private charters for up to 20-26 guests. Each boat has a central table with ice-filled coolers that is surrounded by 12 bike seats for passengers to pedal to power the boat but don't worry! You don't have to pedal, there is an outboard motor. And if pedaling isn't your thing at all or there's more than 12 of passengers, each boat has a comfy lounge area in the back that is set up for conversation, sipping on your drink and drinking in the views! All cruises are BYOB (cans only and no hard alcohol - a craft beer lovers dream) and you can also bring food/snacks on board! For our cruise, we enjoyed charcuterie cones from Kured.co and Scuba & I obviously had to bring along some on-theme beers including Cushnoc Brewing's 'Can't Buy Backbone' IPA, Wormtown Brewing's Summer Ale and a pounder of Montauk Brewing's Summer Ale (all purchased at Dion's in Waltham). As someone who is happiest in/on/near the water with a beer in hand and has so much pride in my city; this was a dream! I am actively looking for any excuse to get back out on a Cycleboat!

Our captain and his daughter were great hosts and tour guides for this group of 10 celebrating a bachelorette. BYOB and of course someone from your group gets to be DJ! City Experience, I…read moream writing to provide feedback regarding our recent dining cruise experience. I attended the cruise with another church member who was considering booking a future event, but unfortunately, several operational issues negatively impacted our evening. First, the seating arrangement was poorly organized. Our table was placed too close to the exit, creating a bottleneck as guests went outside to take photos, despite ample open space on the other side of the room. We ultimately had to relocate the table ourselves. Second, there was a 20- to 30-minute delay in opening the buffet because the DJ failed to make the announcement. As a result, the food was cold by the time we served ourselves, despite being first in line. When we brought this to the manager's attention, she explained that the air conditioning cooled the food down. This explanation is concerning, as properly functioning warming pans should keep the food hot. Because of this, I lost my appetite, and my colleague was discouraged from planning her event on this vessel. Additionally, we believe the cruise should separate adult and family dining areas. Children were running around the buffet space, which posed a safety hazard given the potential for accidental burns from hot food equipment. Based on these factors, we rate the food a 1 out of 10 and the DJ a 6 out of 10. Despite these significant issues, the service we received from two of your staff members was exceptional. Our waitress, Ms. Fiona, demonstrated outstanding professionalism, compassion, and initiative. She frequently checked on us, apologized for the issues, and even brought us a well-done steak and dessert to ensure we had something to eat. Similarly, Ms. Dee went above and beyond her duties with her kindness and helpfulness to ensure we still enjoyed our evening. Both Ms.Fiona and Ms.Dee deserve a 10+ rating for their exemplary service. I hope this feedback helps improve future cruise operations. Best regards,

If you are looking for a loud, rowdy "Booze Cruise" then this is definitely for you…read more When I purchased tickets the website clearly advertised a relaxing, scenic boat cruise with bird watching and some narration of the history of the area. Perfect for my elderly family members birthday. Imagine my surprise when a large group of intoxicated people showed up and ruined the entire experience for everyone on board. They continued to drink throughout the tour making it even more intolerable. At one point two of the drunk men stumbled over to where I was sitting for a "better view." They got so close that I was pinned against the boat and one of their friends had to intervene. The captain however, did not intervene. I observed him being tipped by this group which gave him incentive to turn a blind eye to their behavior. I wanted to address all of this at the time but did not want to make a scene in front of my family. Furthermore, I would've had to complain to the captain right in front of the drunk people which would leave me open to retaliation. I did reach out to the company the next day via email and outlined everything that took place. I received an email back a few days later from the captain denying that anything happened. No apology, no compensation of any kind. He had total disregard for the safety of everyone else on board who had their experience ruined. One last note to put things in perspective. I work at a night club. I deal with intoxicated people all the time and have a high tolerance. This behavior was unacceptable and unreasonable, especially since all of their advertising leads you to believe this will be a peaceful experience.
