Two of my kids attended this school for a couple years. One from 1.5 - 4 and another from 6 months…read more- almost 3. Then we moved to Japan and took a year off before we were back in the area for a few months where we re-enrolled them for a few months for a refresher. Today, I just want to thank them so much for everything they taught my kids. Today could have gone so differently. We were out camping in cabins at a lake in Japan and our younger child was out with 3 other kids and they ended up near the water which had a deep drop off. I was changing and one of the other parents was going to see what they were up to. My younger son somehow fell into the lake with his bike helmet and sneakers on. No one screamed. My older child came up to the road and told a parent... Instead of screaming (I wish they had ran and screamed.) The parent ran down to the water and saw my younger child floating on his back out in the lake where it was too deep for her to stand. She swam out and got him. She said these lessons saved him. Here I am extremely pregnant and I'm overly emotional about what could have happened today. I know God was with us today and I'm forever grateful for their investment in our children. Thank you again.

Unfortunately, after attending Bubbles Swim School for the last 6 months, our experience ended on a…read morevery disappointing note in August 2026. My younger son had been enrolled for about six months and had missed a couple of classes. We spoke with the young man at the front desk, who scheduled us for a makeup lesson. We arrived as instructed, my son got into the pool, and then the owner came over, pulled him out of the water in front of all the other parents and children, and told us he could not participate. I explained that we were only there because one of her employees had scheduled the makeup class. Instead of acknowledging the miscommunication or trying to find a solution, her response was simply, "I'm sorry you feel that way." What bothered me most wasn't that there was a policy--it was how the situation was handled. This was our final class, yet there was no empathy, no attempt to take ownership of the mistake, and no effort to handle the conversation privately. Instead, I was spoken to in a loud, confrontational manner in front of everyone. My children were there, all the other parents and swimmers were watching, and it was incredibly embarrassing for our family. The owner explained that makeup classes cannot carry over into another session. However, we had never been told that during the years we've attended the school, and we had actually completed another makeup class earlier that same week. The inconsistency only added to the frustration. Mistakes happen, and I understand that policies exist. What matters is how a business treats its customers when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism, the public confrontation, and the unwillingness to acknowledge the miscommunication left such a negative impression that we've decided not to return. I hope this feedback encourages the school to handle future situations with more empathy, consistency, and respect for both parents and children.

My healing journey began in October 2025. This location was…read morereferred to us by a fellow member of this Y & my friend. Although we live in Paradise Hills and there are other locations near us- McGrath is where I found myself 5xs/ week- when they first opened at 6am. I came solely for the indoor heated pool. During this time, I was out on a work injury for 5 months & wasn't sure how much longer I'd be on a No Work Status. Between my occupational health doctor & my podiatrist- we were waiting to see if my foot would be in a cast. By the time I found out- NO cast was needed- my podiatrist recommended either strength training or swimming. The gals who did our application intake, honored my husband's First Responder credentials & that helped waive his application fee! Since we notated my friend referring us to McGrath- she also got a credit to her monthly fee- the following month. I was utilizing the heated pool for walking and the foam resistance weights. I have gotten to know & chat with the morning indoor lifeguards. And they helped make the morning session go fast. (Along with the music playing). Thank you Adam, Cameron, Will, Drew, Colton, Tati, Hannah, Annika & Audriana (hope I spelled your names right!). I have especially made a friend with an older fella, Randy. And he was especially the highlight of my morning. We would share our walking lane and time went by so fast. Along with the facility times changing- from 6am/ 5:30am/ 5am.... Staff doesn't miss a beat. There was a time during winter 2025- the only pool (outdoor) at Santee was getting maintenance. It was out for more than a month. And there was an influx of additional members at McGrath for quite some time. I felt the influx seemed like a burden to a few regulars- but, for me- I had the opportunity to meet more members by name. It may seem like a nuisance if one's daily routine is disrupted for a bit, but just remember- it's temporary. I was taken aback, when some grown adults refused to share their pool lanes. But, it was great to see lifeguards correct this behavior. Fast forward to Summer 2026- I booked a one hour massage and am looking forward to my first session.

Her patience never wavered, even when my nerves got the better of me, and she has this wonderful way of celebrating every small step forward instead of rushing me toward the next one. What stood out most was how well she understood that this wasn't just about learning strokes -- it was about rebuilding trust in the water and in myself. She explained things clearly, adjusted her approach when something wasn't clicking, and always made sure I felt safe before pushing me a little further out of my comfort zone. Thanks to her encouragement and skill, I'm swimming -- something I genuinely thought might never happen for me as an adult. I'd recommend Emmanuella to anyone, especially those of us who came to this later in life with some fear to work through. She's an exceptional teacher and an even better person to have in your corner.

In just a few lessons, she had our son floating confidently and swimming in no time. We were honestly blown away by how quickly he progressed. Miss Vicky is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable and clearly has a gift for teaching children. She made the lessons fun while building our son's confidence in the water. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and only wish we had found her sooner. If you're looking for a swim instructor in Port St. Lucie, we highly recommend Miss Vicky. She's truly exceptional!
