I have been to this venue on multiple occasions and find it to be a great resource and event center for the City of Warren. The W.D. We go to a lot of concerts, and we're so glad to attend one after over a year! Felt great. Our first time at The Packard will keep us coming back. Hearing live music from groups we heard as younger people is amazing. The Packard holds only a good 2,300 fans. It's easy to get to from Cleveland, straight down Rt. 422. The parking is free and easy in the large lot. The acoustics were spot on, the hall having been built in 1955. We sat in seats on the floor, and we had a good view. The upper balcony looked like good seats, too. The entertainment here are popular music groups, cultural and community events. Industrialist W.D. Packard made this music venue possible. People were moving, singing, clapping. Looking forward to the next concert. read more

Drove over an hour to take my 2 year old son to see the Blippi Musical here. I was told BY TICKETMASTER, where I purchased my tickets, that my ticket ($180+ for 3 tickets...) included the SHOW AND the photo op. I got there, they scanned our tickets, and there was no issue. We picked out some seats, until someone said we were in their seats. A man working the venue must have seen my confusion, because my tickets said General Admission and didn't have assigned seats. He radioed his idiot boss, who said GA wasn't a thing and I had to go back to the ticket booth. Fine. I did, along with several other parents, who were in the same boat because we were being told we had to buy AN ADDITIONAL ticket. Another man asked to speak to the manager, who had an attitude before he even spoke to us. This Steve Wilkos looking clown said "you wouldn't have even gotten into the venue with that ticket." UMMM JOKES ON YOU MORON, WE ALREADY GOT IN!!! He is completely CLUELESS!!!! I explained that I verified WITH TICKETMASTER ahead of time that my ticket for the show WAS INCLUDED and he had the audacity to tell me, "I PROMISE you they didn't say that." And walked away. I'm including a screenshot of the conversation with Ticketmaster (that "didn't happen") for your viewing pleasure, along with the 3 tickets I had to buy for AN ADDITIONAL $97 TO SEE A FAKE BLIPPI, because I was not about to tell my son he was no longer seeing him. This manager is absolutely pathetic. Rude. And completely ignorant to anything going on at "his" venue, And has zero business working with any other human beings. No metal detectors at the doors. No security checking bags, I could have walked in there with 15 guns on me and no one would have noticed. I'm still in the process of fighting with Ticketmaster for a refund, and plan on filing complaints with the BBB and attorney general, because this was straight up robbery. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more

We came here for the Martina McBride Christmas concert and had wonderful time. She put on a great show and her voice is spectacular. The venue itself is a staple in our area and opened in 1955. Parts are outdated such as the restrooms but the actual auditorium and stage area have that old school concert nostalgia if you ask me. Seating is plentiful but cramped. We had balcony seats which were great and I must say, there really isn't a bad set in the place. Drinks and snacks available at the concession area where pricing wasn't too bad. Parking was a different issue. This venue sits on a two way street so get there early and be prepared to wait in traffic. Now, we pulled into the parking lot and notice a large parking area immediately to the right as you pull in is blocked. So we are directed toward the rear of the building where we find ourselves driving down a hill and into Packard Park, parking near some baseball fields. I would estimate our walk to be between 1/4 to 1/2 mile to get back up the hill on uneven terrain and into the venue. The kicker is that when we left, the parking lot I mentioned as blocked off was now filled with cars. You would think that the more convenient lot would be open to those who show up early and the later patrons directed toward the area we ended up parking in which is what I would call overflow parking anyway. Other than this parking frustration, we had a wonderful time and would come back for future events. read more

This used to be a great place that worked with local events. Now they are trying to push out locals for renting the hall out by raising the prices for everything. They canceled our already existing reserved date and gave it to someone else forcing us to reschedule on an inconvenient day. Then the day of our event staff was rude. Immediately after the event ended (the stage still had performers on it) security came out ordering everyone to leave. It was not a great experience. So sad because it had been such a great venue for the community for so long. read more

Went here for Trace Adkins and it was awesome! My only complains are the lobby and bathrooms are a little small but the building was great. OH and.... No drinking in the parking lot... Couldn't pre game :/. But the auditorium was pretty cool. Pack you in like sardines but was an overall great experience! read more

Great place for a small concert. Take this warning though!!!!, you will not get a ride to or from this place. Ride share is non-existent and you'll probably get robbed at night if you walk. Just plan to have a DD and drive your car. read more

My daughter Raguell Smith was just there with her family and friends and was fasley accused by a member of management and brazenly humiliated at her daughter and sons dance recital. This haneous and aggrecious act was committed we believe based on color and total discrimination. We the Allen family and my myself the Patriarch, Rev/Dr. Raymond E.Allen Sr will pursue this to the full extent of the law. This Karen who thoroughly abused her power must be dealt with. read more

The staff at W.D Packard Music Hall came dangerously close to ruining a 758 mile/12 hour round trip road trip that I took to see my favorite band. Counting Crows played the music hall on 12/6/14 and I was extremely excited to snag front row tickets via Ticketmaster. Thinking that our front row spots were safe and secure, my husband and friends ventured into the lobby during intermission to use the restroom and check out the merch stand. This is something we'd NEVER do at a general admission show, but thinking we'd be able to come back to our front row seats, we figured we'd explore. So we got back into the theater about 10 minutes before Counting Crows were scheduled to take the stage, and security let EVERYONE rush the stage. I complained to security, as did my friend, but they couldn't do anything at that point. I was furious. Another friend said he saw my claws come out. Luckily, the folks who rushed the stage were nice enough to let us up to the front of the stage, since we had the tickets to prove this. I can't believe how far I traveled to have this almost taken away from me. The venue itself is nothing special. It is old and looks like a high school auditorium. The drinks are inexpensive and the acoustics are okay. I've never seen anything like this before in a seated venue. There's no reason for me to return to this venue, however based on this experience I'd make a conscious effort to never return. read more

This place and is so outdated. Scotty McCreery put on an awesome show though. Our floor seats were merely folding chairs that were not anchored into the floor. Whole row moved when got up or sat down. Security allowed people in the aisles of the higher paying ticket holders. In my opinion, too many people in this venue. read more

there was mold in the basement. there was paint chips all over the floor, and we found a pair of blue shorts under the couch. in the female's restroom/locker room there was a urinal. overall, it was a nice space, but it wasn't my favorite. read more

Went to see Beauty and the Beast with my family at Packard. As usual, the play was fantastic. The venue, however, was anything but. The ushers treated the play like it was nothing more than a high school play (and given the price paid, it certainly was not). This started when they informed half of my party that they "removed their row". To make up for this, they gave us all seats together...in a section that cost less than what we had initially paid with no refund offered. Throughout the show, people were jumping seats, talking, and taking flash photos with no repercussions from the staff. At any other venue I have been at, this sort of behavior is not tolerated and, again, for the price paid it should not be tolerated. I will gladly see the show again, but I would never go back to Packard. read more

I completely and totally disagree with the dirt review. Packard music hall is the bet place to hold concerts and other events. I saw one of my favorite groups "Blonde" there and everything was amazing. The employees were great at there jobs and the acoustics there are phenomenal. There is no better place in the area to hold shows. read more

Do not go to this venue. Last night at a show. This girl standing close to us, was being sexually harassed by another female, while her husband nagged her on. The girl, was fondling her, trying to pull on her pants. Everything. When we tried to separate them, the girl and husband followed. Not joking. We told security, and all they did was ask them if they were okay. Several of us told security. And nothing. The girl was straight up being harassed, and nearly sexually assaulted. The girl told the couple to leave her alone, and the 300 pound wife attacked her! Yes! Attacked her! Not only the wife, but the husband as well! Security pulled them off, and the wife came back in a couple minutes later. Again, not joking! And one of the security was a packard staff, not one of the random security team, they hired. So, a girl got physically attacked for denying sexual assault. Yeah, this place sounds great. Not! And security let them leave, so she couldn't file charges. All security was worried about was harassing people and flashing lights in their faces for taking pictures. I gave the girl my water, and everybody surrounding her, consoled her. This place is trash. Never again. read more

My friends and I are very disappointed with the staff here. We went to see Josh Turner 3-8-15 and when he come out on stage everyone stood. But the staff came past and made a few of us sit down because the old couple behind us didn't want to stand but yet the people 2 rows in front of us stood the whole time so we couldn't see half the show. We bought the tickets on the floor so we could stand. also the whole time a staff member keep flashing his flash light in our eyes trying to get the attention of people 3 rows behind us. In the end my friends and i waiting along the wall by our sets so everyone could get out because my friend had crutches and we didn't want her getting pushed around. some staff member came over and grabbed my other friends shoulder and told her we had to move we were blocking people from getting out which we weren't. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK and all of our friends said the same thing. But on a good note Josh Turner was amazing and it wasn't his fault at all we all love him. read more
