We'd get to the point where we'd "hired" them and were on the verge of sending a check, and they wouldn't return our calls. Frustrating! This is NOT the case with Robert. He actually contacted us (not in the annoying David's Bridal we'll-call-every-three-days-until-you-buy-a-dress-from-us way, in a helpful "just checking in on you to see whether you'd found a DJ yet way.) He was easy to talk with, easy to get hold of, and had a much more refined presence than many of the DJs we'd talked to (apparently, in addition to general flakiness, some DJs love the sound of their own voice on the mic... not ideal.) We hired him. Throughout the wedding planning process, Robert was very helpful. He answered emails promptly, gave us forms to fill out to help stay organized (this is key), and kept track of all the little tidbits I sent him ("oh yeah we also want this song", "one more thing, NO Bono", etc.etc.etc.) We wanted a DJ who not only knew music, but could help the flow of the wedding day go smoothly. Robert did just that. Day of, I literally can't believe how well the wedding went. The dance floor was FULL of people dancing for 3 solid hours! I've never been to a wedding in all my life with so much dancing! He had a great sense for the crowd, and did a fantastic job of blending our music tastes with songs that people could dance to. It was a wonderful variety of music. He was also flexible when some decisions needed to be made last minute (slow song requests, announcements needing to be made, choosing a cake-cutting song last minute...) Not only will this DJ create an awesome dance party and honor your requests (because I've heard horror stories of DJs completely ignoring couple's do not play/ play requests), he will help keep the reception moving and keep the guests informed about what's happening. We were on the fence about whether to hire a DJ or not-- it was an expense that took us a little outside of our wedding budget-- but we are so glad that we did. Robert helped to make our event spectacular, and I can't recommend him enough!
