I don't pick many Chinese spots but B's friend wanted Peking duck and Pacific Seafood BBQ House is one of the go to spots for roasted meats. They have a second location in South Yarra. We dropped in on a holiday Friday for dinner (6:30pm). The service is surprisingly good and food comes out extremely quickly. The walls are lined with special dishes and prices for seafood. The menu isn't as big as normal (a nice change) but it's split into roast dishes, entrees, soup, crocodile meat, chicken, duck, beef, pork, clay pot, seafood, vegetable/bean curd, fried noodles and rice. - Soup - complimentary bowls of delicious root vegetable soup. Reminded me of my grandma's soup. - 4x Steamed rice ($3.50/person) - wow, I didn't realize they charged each person for rice. You get a pot and it's refillable but that's still highway robbery. - Peking duck ($32.00 AUD) - it's been awhile since I've had Peking duck but this was excellent. Not fatty at all but tender, moist and a light, crispy skin. Delectable. - 8x Jumbo oysters ($3.50 each) - these were cooked. Almost had an eggy texture. Good but I'll still take fresh oysters 'errday of the week. - Barramundi ($61.60 AUD) - they charge $28.00/0.5 kg. Our fish weighed in at 1.10 kg. Pretty hefty and pricey but sometimes, you just got to splurge. We got it steamed in a black bean sauce. Tender and flaky but I wanted more oomph from the sauce. - Snow peas sprouts with minced garlic ($24.00 AUD) - these are always delicious but pricey. Here's no different. It's solid Chinese food but you're paying a premium for it. Cash only.

I've been coming to this place for years and years and the food is simply divine! Its a really good place to come for some delicious food with family or friends for any occasion, or just for a simple meal. Ive had birthdays and catch ups and the food has consistently remained the same. However, it can get quite busy, so it's always good to book or come after 7pm for dinner. Due to the busy nature, the service isn't ideal, but I've had far worst service at other places. If you do come with a group, try their crab noodles and fried chicken ribs.....DELICIOUS!

There are many seafood restaurants in Melbourne, and after digging through Yelp to find the best…read moreone, RST kept coming up, so I finally relented, made a reservation, and jumped in an Uber. As I walked inside, I was taken at how small and quaint this place was. The hostess said, "You must be Cosmo." I laughed and said yes- I must've been the only one to make a reservation that night! There was a small bar as I walked in, and I was guided to the dining room, where there were a few other diners sitting, about half full. I was shown to my table and given a menu. She handed me a menu, and asked if I wanted water, to which I said yes, tap was fine. She left me as I perused the menu, and she quickly returned with water and pointed out the board behind me, which had all the fresh fish and specials of the day. I wanted Lobster, and happily, I saw it on the board. I asked which of the prawn starters was better, and she offered a taste of both! I then ordered a lobster. I ordered green beans on the side. I also ordered a cold beer, which she brought immediately. I was brought a plate of 2 prawns which were both divine, and then another plate with another 2 prawns, and they were divine as well. I am glad I was given the option. And then my main course came, beautifully prepared, large chunks of lobster in the shell. The Green Beans were beautiful, and I must say, some of the best I have ever had! Cooked perfectly, and the almonds were delicious. The lobster was to die for- tender and flavorful, cooked perfectly. I savored each bite. I ordered a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc with my lobster, and then had a cheese plate to finish. I sat there finishing my wine and enjoying the cheese. What a great dinner! I paid my bill, and all the staff thanked me, and I left, yearning to come back one day. For now, it will be a wonderful memory...

The friendly staff have impressive skills with carrying the dishes. We ordered quite a lot of food and they did not disappoint! Serving up an ever changing menu of seasonal tasty plates and a wine list that makes me excited to be alive, Marion is the kind of place I wish was my local. Fitzroy is fast becoming THE wine bar suburb of Melbourne with Bar Clarine, Bar Liberty, Hell of the North and the ever lovable and reliable Enoteca all serving up terrific wine by the glass and bottle along with solid food offerings. If you wanted to you could jump around multiple venues in a night having a glass and a bite at each, a kind of progressive dinner. But back to Marion... it's lovely. The food and wine is top notch but what I really want to tell you about is the service. It's friendly, knowledgable and efficient. Each guest is made to feel special but not fawned over and the pace of the experience is perfectly suited to what you're in the mood for. Up for some wine nerd chat? You've got it! Want to be left alone so you can stare in to your eyes of your beloved? No worries! Want to be told what to order and drink so you can be delighted and surprised? Easy. Waiters who can read what you need, and give it to you, are as rare as hens teeth, but A-Mac attracts some of the best staff in this city and it's always a pleasure to dine in any of his establishments because of this. 5 stars.

I jumped onto the website and was enthralled by the variety of paella on the menu. Rabbit, squid ink, seafood. ... Plus happy hour from 5-7pm I was sold. I quickly made a booking for a Friday evening for two. I arrived there around 6.30 and was offered seating straightaway by the host. There is outdoor seating as well and with it being a beautiful warm day in march, we decided to sit outside. We were told to wait five minutes at the bar while we waited for tables to be cleared. We ordered pisco sours for 10 bucks each and were quickly then ushered to our seats. The outdoor tables are slightly bigger than the indoor ones and there is a slight canopy like covering. It's quite beautiful. Our pisco sours were delicious. We ordered the seafood paella which is 25 per person and two people must get it. Which I think is very pricey. But oh well. We also got the tuna salad. The tuna salad was just some canned tuna with spinach leaves. One quartered tomato, one egg and some cucumber. Nothing special. The seafood paella arrived in a large paella pan with four prawns, some calamari, two mussels, two clams and that was it. Quite disappointing in terms of amount of seafood. The rice was quite chewy, stuck to the base of the pan and tasted quite burnt and dry. Very disappointing. Very overpriced for what we got. Service is great. Venue is great. Drinks are great. Perhaps better for drinks and small bites I think.

We were excited with the Spanish menu, agreeing to share a large tuna and egg green salad and seafood paella. The salad was filling and delicious. A light dressing and fresh ingredients. The paella was over cooked. Rice was too firm and stuck to the pan. Seafood was good and we finished the serving between both of us. Staff were friendly and efficient. I would definitely be back for a drink and some bar food, however they need to work on their signature dish if they want their restaurant as full as the bar.
