I called the office but the person I spoke to couldn't clearly explain what had happened, but just said I needed to pay more. I went ahead and paid the extra amount, thinking I was now in the clear in terms of payment for these treatments. Now, a year later, I received a bill from my doctor's new billing service, saying I still owed a not insignificant amount from those treatments last year. I was not pleased. The agent I spoke to at the new billing service explained they were going back through all the bills the previous company (Island Healthcare Solutions) had processed in order to correct all the errors they had made.
