Absolutely rude employees. Had a lady just grab my drive up deposit, not say hello or anything, disappear for 5 minutes, send my slip back then rudely say, anything else? What a miserable person with no customer service skills at all! This bank gets worse and worse. With malfunctioning atms all the time, to rude employees, to people dressing up like they work at O'Reilly auto parts instead of dressing like professional business people. About time to get a new bank or hope they sell this crap stand. Nobody wants to deal with this....oh, btw, been a customer there before it was even called PPB.....so I can first hand say how shitbox this place has become! To be clear... I've been with the bank since back when it was HoB... so Ive stuck with them thru all the ridiculousness of mergers. I dont like this branch, I prefer South River, but this one happened to be closer. I lost my wallet and needed to get cash to carry me over until I can find it. I go thru the drive thru and send up a check to cash the woman snaps "you need to send up a license" I explain the situation and offer to answer any question. She snaps "we dont do that" to which I reply yes you do (because I have done it, multiple times). She huffs, and tells me shes getting her manager. Manager comes they have a conversation. And she sends me the money. I ask "do you want me to answer security questions" and she responds, still in the snappy tone "no, i dont need you to answer security questions, what would I even ask you?" And then walks away from the window. This is the rudest Ive encountered but rude seems to be a trend here in general. And between the rudeness the closure of another branch, and the constant downed ATMs Im close to just calling it and moving on to another bank. read more

This has been a very good bank to deal with. After my old bank was bought out and Pacific Premier came in I was a bit concerned about it. I'm not any longer. I think it's been a pleasant change for the better. I'm always happy with my experience there. Great customer service! I am almost always in and out. I was so pleased with having my checking account there that I even opened another savings account there. Again, it was another smooth transaction to take care of. I bank here but our main accounts are at another bank. I'm not sure why though, because THIS bank is the friendliest & most accommodating I've ever banked at. I've followed them from Park Street, when they were Mission Bank and our store's bank, then Spring Street and now 12th Street. The other day I needed a document notarized and Kristen ( I need to find her card & edit this to make sure I got her name right) but she reminded me of why I've hung on to this bank for my business! It's always had that small hometown feeling. And Kristen's great customer service was that reminder! She notarized my document and it was so easy. Tried getting a ppp loan. I was told you have to have an account with the bank to start an application. So Teri was very helpful to get me started. After about a week of waiting I emailed on the 9 th of April to see how it was going. She tells me that the application has been pulled and they are overwhelmed with all the applications. I call today and she tells me that I never even applied for the loan. Super disappointed with this crap. Worst service ever. They suck!!!! read more

Banking is about relationships. Heritage Oaks Bank has some great tellers. The tellers are the backbone of this bank. Cookie Friday: We set up accounts for our younger children. We bring them to the bank every Friday for cookie Friday. Heritage Oaks Bank provides cookies and coffee every Friday for its customers. Our kids love going to the bank on cookie Friday and getting the cookies and making their deposits. Bank Tellers: There are three tellers that just do an amazing job. I won't mention their names, you will have to experience them. They are kind, patient, and remember my name. Bank Fees: The only challenge we have are the fees. But the customer service in the bank seems to be really good. Parking: The parking is easy there never seems to be an issue with parking. Recently Remodeled: The bank was recently remodeled in the inside is very attractive and well put together. Drive up Tellers: They also have two drive up tellers. And the drive up teller stays open a half hour later than the regular banking hours. read more

I was a Heritage Oaks Bank customer for a VERY long time so when they got bought out I was wondering if they could meet the standards set by HOB.. As always there is a learning curve when a new bank comes in, we had a few rocky moments but if it wasn't for the help and support from Teri Elmore, the greatest banker ever, it wouldn't have gone as smoothly!! All I have to say is I miss heritage oaks bank!! This bank is ridiculous, terrible online banking, new charges for everything, charges for not having minimum balance. I hate to move banks but I think a credit union is much better suited for me, since small community banks are all gone. Most people I know that had heritage oaks have all moved banks. read more

Ohmygosh I went in the bank and expected the project I needed done to take DAYS as well as expected eye rolls, not to mention 1000 trees murdered for this project. Carrie was absolutely incredible, set me up with everything I needed for future access and emailed me PDF documents of everything I needed with in just a couple hours - if that! She was not only pleasant, but cracked me up several times to where I thought I just might be laughing a little too loud. She is an absolute rock star and totally made my day when I thought it was going to be the beginning of a long, drawn out process and lots of money. I isn't too often these days when you can truly feel like you bank cares about you and your business. We have had accounts at many local banks as we have a large family and roots in our community. Over the last few years, we have walked away from financial institutions that we have been with for many years as those financial institutions may still BE in our hometown but they ARE NOT hometown in any other way any more. They don't know your name, treat you like a number, and act put-out if you need assistance. One bank we have stayed with for over 20 years, is Heritage Oaks bank, now Pacific Premier Bank. The tellers that were previously with Heritage Oaks have mostly vanished. The ATM works when it wants to. The tellers have made clerical errors. The things that matter like speaking to a local bank representative when you call, ease of online banking and a user friendly App., added charges, just to name a few. EXCEPT CARRIE! She stands out in the crowd. In these days of everything electronic, every bank needs a staff of Carrie's. She always has a warm greeting, she is very knowledgeable and is an excellent representation of what a bank representative should be. I know that I can depend on her to take excellent care of us and our banking needs, most of which seem to be quite complicated these days. She pays close attention to detail and we have never felt less than important. We are confident that she will ensure our needs will always be met.
