Great quality plants, family run business, friendly folks. I love getting trees here. Acres of trees to get lost in surrounded by beautiful country. If you don't know what you want or how to select plants, go to a retail nursery.

They were usually quite terse and make it very clear that they are a wholesaler and do not deal with the public. After confirming they had the plants I was looking for, my gardener went to buy them. The day they were there to buy, a large portion of their nursery was closed for spraying so they were only able to get a few of the ones I wanted. I was really shocked at the condition of the trees. They were supposed to be 15 gal trees but more like 5 gal plants in larger pots. The gardeners went back a few days later when the rest of the lot was open to get the remaining trees I wanted. The same plants were much larger and healthier. I called the nursery about the sad condition of the trees bought initially and asked if they could do something about them. I was asked to send pictures... it's been weeks since the pictures were sent but never heard back from them. Take a look at the sad trees... two of $70 15 gal orange trees dies after 2 weeks. Home depot has healthier ones for less price.

I have been managing a nursery department in a local hardware store for seven years now and have dealt with various suppliers to meet the needs of my customers. This is our first year of using Cal Color and I am absolutely amazed of the quality of the plants coming to our store. The smaller six pack plants have a larger root base and the plants are so much healthier and crisp. The foliage is large and green, blooms healthy and they sell through very fast. When suppliers use the smaller base the roots dry out quicker in hot weather or drown from over zealous watering. Cal Colors plants look as healthy a few days after delivery if not sold. And I must say, they sell very fast. Not only is the quality the best I have ever seen, so is the service. We are given the same level of service even though we are a community hardware store and not a "big box" client. Recently another supplier that we have used for many years completely ran out of vegetables even though I put an order in early. I was notified days after that there would be no vegetables that week. I called Cal Color and doubled the order. We received everything we requested before the busy weekend. I see a long and happy business relationship with this company. Thanks again!

When I walk-up to the cashier later to be known manager/owner I ask him the price for the bunch, hey says they have different prices and asked me to wait and so we did. While waiting I was comparing the dress color with the coral roses and showing my brother whom is the florist if it match it really did. He comes out and says that the coral roses are not available and I asked him why if they were with the others and not set aside. He said "I didn't invite you to my cooler." I replied "I didn't know that you had to ask for permission because the last time I came I didn't." The worker had not informed me that I needed permission to enter, instead he helped me pick out the roses that later were not available to me.
