A thorough test, a real test for everything under the sun. When done they figured out how to fix the hearing aid and reprogrammed it. Then a retest for the relevant parts. Very scientific. I can't imagine a better outcome, highly recommend it, i mean it, Ron Leavitt is extremely knowledgeable, and so is his staff. Professional, personable. What more can one ask? They probably had a chance to profit more by encouraging me to get a newer hearing aid, but they did what was best for me. I am 81 and can hear again. Like i said, almost in tears I am joyful.

The doctor and technician offered that after a few minutes we could resume the test OR that I could go home and return to finish the test. Apparently I made the bad choice: I was not allowed for set another appointment. I returned the next day to try to schedule the hearing test. With advice from the back office technician, the receptionist was prompted on how to deal with me. They said the hearing test results were mailed to my primary care dr. Crazy--I am the patient and the doctor or technician should talk to ME. When I persevered with the staff to schedule a time to finish the hearing test and time to TALK TO ME. The technician came front to grudgingly agree to schedule "only one more appointment." I was granted an appointment 4 months out. When I contacted my primary dr. to get the results found at my first appointment she said that she had not received my audiology report, and if she had the results she would not be able to take action on them. Our best solution was to get a different referral and start over. I found my way to a great audiologist, fully worth the drive out of town. Makes me wonder how they stay in business?

The doctor, Patrick, was very accommodating and did a thorough interview and assessment based on my condition and history. What I like about the approach is that he didn't focus on symptoms but instead targeted the potential cause. In my case, looking to improving kidney health to address a prostate issue. I have been taking a Chinese herbal remedy that he prescribed for about a week now and results are beginning to appear. After more than about 2 years of western medicines with virtually no relief, I am hopeful that this "new" (for me) approach will finally bring relief to my symptoms. The first thing Gary did was look into my ears and saw I had considerable wax build up and so he sent me home with some drops that would help clean out my ears. Now he could have tested me right then and there but instead he said come back once your ears are cleaned out then I can get an accurate reading on your possible hearing loss. That spoke volumes to me about honesty and integrity. When it was determine that I did indeed need assistance with my hearing i was taken through an extremely informative explanation of what devices were available. Through that process I asked what they recommended. The recommendation was not the most expensive but rather the one that would best solve my hearing problem and was ultimately the one I chose. I have been so satisfied with them as has my family. Service after the sell has been beyond my expectation. I just walk in at least once a month and get a thorough cleaning and replacement parts if needed as well as a supply of batteries all without charge. I was referred to Oregon Hearing Health Services in Lebanon, Oregon and my life has taken on a new meaning. The hearing specialist, Sam Matheny, explained everything so clearly and his recommendation for what I need is perfect. I am absolutely thrilled with my new hearing aids. After my tests, the arrival of my new aids, he programmed the aids to perfection. I cannot express how pleased I am. They are so comfortable,I sometimes forget they are in my ears, and it is so enjoyable to listen and be part of the conversations now. I was becoming a wall flower before as it was just a bunch of noise and I couldn't distinguish any one conversation. Sam Matheny is a true professional and his compassion for his patients is awesome. When I asked how long the appointment would be she said they schedule 15 minutes for each issue. I could schedule several appointments to cover the issues I have. So, each issue (fifteen min appt) would be billing Medicare and my private insurance. Receptionist asked me if I wanted to schedule more appointments to cover my issues. I decided I need to find another doctor and clinic where my needs can be met with one appointment. I am really disappointed as I have been a patient with Corvallis Family Medicine for several years.

Their front desk staff are polite and helpful, and the providers have gotten us taken care of.
