After attending for a year and nobody ever introducing themselves to us or even giving us updates on our daughter's progress we decided we'd give KTs a try before giving up... I'm so happy we made the switch as our experience here has been the complete opposite of Pacific Flips! Immediately upon signing up I felt like the entire staff has made effort to build a relationship with our daughter as with us as well! It's nice being greeted by name and getting updates after each class. The coaches all are passionate about what they do and you can tell by the way the interact with the kids. I love seeing my daughter challenged to learn new skills in a supportive and nurturing environment! My poor girl had been trying to learn how to do a cartwheel for the whole year at PF without any success, however after a week of being at KTs she was able to do it! The only thing different they did was get out this little mat that shows where to place her feet and hands and gave her praise and encouragement and boom she was doing cartwheels! The smile on her face was priceless! We've also had to switch days due to our schedule changing for the fall and they've been extremely flexible and accommodating! I really can't say enough good things about KTs! I'm so happy we made the move!

Been getting more and more upset with this place…read more When you first sign up you have to pay 35$ for shorts. We been going for a over a year and still haven't received any shorts. The teachers usually don't help the kids in the open area. I been watching for the past 5 classes and they don't assist kids that can't do bridges during warmups, and don't correct the stretches. Some teachers are better than others. The tall blonde teacher has always been kind, sweet and patient with the kids. There is a red headed teacher who is patient, and a male teacher with a beard who seems to know what he is doing. The other teachers have been seemingly ignore kids who are scared and shy, ignoring kids who are not exhibiting the proper technique [injury risk], and texting on their phone. This is all happening in the open viewing area. I have been recording times of class start time and end time. Typically they start on time at 4:00pm, but consist about 20 minutes of warm ups, and then the class and kids will be sitting ready to leave approximately 4:40pm. [The recorded times and assessment comes from the previous 5x classes] I want to like this place more, but some teachers are lazy and infuriating to watch. I have been taking more and more pictures and videos, time snaps, and notes if more information is needed.

They let waaaaaay too many kids into each class which makes it hard for anyone to participate. All that wasn't great but thing that pushed it over the edge for us was the grime. This gym is SO dirty! There were granola bar wrappers in between the mats and upstairs, where they take the little kids, is so dusty and gross. We won't be back, there are other, much cleaner gyms.

They were waiting and ready for us when we arrived, they cleaned up after, they had a plan and stuck to it. Great for all of the kids we invited (ages 2-10). Regular gym: I'm grateful for how serious they are about training and growth. They have a plan, they're watching and adjusting as my child grows, they do regular reviews, there's a space for me and my other kids to wait while class is happening. It's fun but it's not just play time. My kid couldn't be happier and neither could we! Coach Aubrey is awesome.

Many schools provide lessons; 5 Cities provides an elite aquatic foundation. Watching the new ownership evolve this program has been incredible. They've managed to blend high-level technical instruction with a "safety-first" mentality that is unmatched on the Central Coast. The themed classes are brilliant--they keep my kids engaged while secretly building life-saving habits into every drill. The fact that we travel 25 minutes past other options to get here should tell you everything you need to know. My 5-year-old's progress has exceeded every expectation I had as a professional. With an indoor pool for year-round training and a staff that is clearly vetted for both skill and safety, this is the gold standard. Stop looking at other schools. This is the one.

However, with the weather on the central coast, we didn't want to send him to an outdoor swimming school. I was so excited when I came across an ad on instagram from 5 Cities Swim School. The indoor heated pool was definitely the determination factor for us. The clean facility and amazing instructors sealed the deal! Nick reached out to me quickly almost as soon as I filled out the information online. I was a little disappointed to find out they didn't have the exact day and time for the class that I was hoping to get our kid in. However, I realized after the 1st week, unless you want your kiddo to have the same instructor every week, it actually doesn't matter what class they're enrolled in. You can always mark them absence and easily request a makeup class for the day and time that work for you. With our crazy rotating schedules and our toddler's starting pre-K soon after he started coming here, we pretty much had a different class and instructor every week. Fortunately, all the instructors follow the same class routine, so our toddler still got to learn and progress quickly even tho he has never gone to the same class more than 2 times lol. The instructors to students ratio here is pretty high, which makes us feel at ease knowing our kid would be safe here. Even for the lowest level that requires at least 1 parent/adult to be in the water with the kiddo, the ratio is still only 1 to 6. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you don't live too far from here and want to look for a great swimming school for your child/children, I highly recommend 5 Cities Swim School!

There is a wonderful outdoor patio on the second level which overlooks the courts and pools and has fire pits and lots of seating. Inside you will find a cardio room, weight room, and another lounge area with a pool table and a large seating area with a big fireplace. They offer a full service spa where you can get massages, facials, pedicures/manicures, and hair cuts. Added bonus - if you schedule one of those services you get a free day pass to use all of the amenities at the club without being a member. The meals were good according to him, he chose the chicken tenders all week. They even walked to Avila Barn as a field trip through a private trail on the property. I felt very safe dropping him off and they did a great job in checking him in and out. There is a good mix of kids from different age groups which is nice. The facilities vibe is very much a resort-like environment. Definitely call and check them out if you wanna give your kids a variety of summer activities.
