When she finally came after I'd been waiting in the patient room for at least 15 minutes, Dr. Thompson and her assistant stopped outside my door and talked in hushed tones and then tried unsuccessfully to stifle their laughter. I got the impression that they were laughing at me as I was there for a personal situation. When she came in, she was rude and abrupt (very different than she had been before). When I tried to stand up to show her what my problem was, she angrily told me "YOU NEED TO BACK UP!" and that I was being very "twitchy". I was so confused and my feelings were hurt. This came out of nowhere! After that, she was condescending and looked at me in a way that made me think I was wasting her time (I caught her rolling her eyes at her assistant). I managed to hold back my tears until she left the room. As soon as she was gone though, I started to cry. I was so embarrassed and thrown off by her behavior. It took me a few minutes to pull myself together to leave. I have never before or since been treated so badly by a doctor. I still can't believe she is the same doctor that I liked in the beginning! My injector made me feel comfortable and even provided me with anxiety relief tools. She was precise, patient, and provided wonderful patient care. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.

Dr. Taylor is extremely thorough when giving an all over skin cancer check. I brought a list of a…read moredozen freckles/moles/pimples that I wanted her to look at and she methodically went through each and every one. When one looked like a pre-squamous cell, she froze it right then and there and went to the next item in my list. This way nothing was overlooked or fell through the cracks. When she was done with my list, she provided an all over check of her own, measuring, having her assistant take notes, sometimes pictures. I've spent a lot of time in the sun growing up near the Jersey Shore and as a daily lap swimmer. One tiny pink pimple turned out to be a basil cell carcinoma, confirmed through a biopsy. Since it was on my jawline, she recommended MOS surgery, where the surgeon will remove tissue around the area then before suturing runs the tissue to the lab to check for clean borders. If the borders are not clean, they remove more. This type of procedure is best for the face where you want to remove the least amount of tissue needed to achieve clean (no cancer) borders. Dr. Tayler referred me to OHSU Dermatology - Dr. Lettenberger performed the surgery and did a fantastic job. Cancer removed and 6 weeks later, scar hardly noticeable. The office is located in the third floor of Lloyd Center Mall off the foodcort area. If you come out of Macy's, make a right and her office is halfway down hall on the right. The office staff, and paperwork they sent, didn't explain this so I was a bit late for my appointment. Office itself is clean, as is the waiting room. All the people who worked there were kind and efficient. After seeing a dermatologist in Hillsboro for 18 years, I'm so happy to find a really good dermatologist closer to where I live. Since it was my first appointment, there was a three month wait. Wear sunscreen! But now that I am a patient, it will be easier to get appointments should a situation arise. Note: OR has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the country! Wear sunscreen everyday! Highly recommend Dr. Taylor for her knowledge, time spent with patient, explanations and extreme thoroughness in exam.
