Fremont has so many beautiful hiking trails, so I was surprised to discover this one, I had no idea it was even there. We started at the Pine Street entrance, which sits along a busy street and between residential homes. We were careful not to block any driveways, especially after noticing several hand-painted "No Parking" signs. The trail is paved... until it isn't. We got a little turned around at one point and ended up near some barbed wire, so we turned back and retraced our steps. In total, we hiked for about an hour and fifteen minutes. The trail winds behind these magnificent homes and connects to several other trailheads along the way. It offers beautiful Bay Area views, and we heard so many birds throughout the hike. There was even an audio tour available via a QR code created by a local Boy Scout troop, such a cool touch! I'm really looking forward to returning and feel so grateful to have access to these wonderful, accessible trails.

Park size is decent and well kept with Trees, Picnic area, Children's play area, Grass, Basketball court, etc. Trees are large. The Picnic area with benches to seat and eat. The lawn is very well maintained. Kids will enjoy this place as there is a lots of grass area to runaround. Lol! The Children's play area is far from Cedar so you no need to worry about it bring close to the busy street. The basketball court in the middle of park looks good too. There are Many benches to just seat and relax. Saw many sparrows and squirrels playing around were looking so cute! The pathways to walk is clean. And found many spots to do small photography session. The only thing I noticed is at children's play area the slide was unclean. Everything else was quite clean and well maintained. Overall, If you want to just sit back and relax somewhere then this park is a very good place for you!

They do plenty of events like this regularly, covering a range of interesting topics related to the wildlife in the area. Also went on a peaceful and relaxing hike along the LaRiviere Marsh Trail over the weekend, and walked the jetty trail near the dumbarton pier (we drove there from the Visitor Center, as it's several miles away and we had limited time). Both are flat and easy hikes surrounded by nature and scenery. There are a couple other trails nearby as well, providing a variety of options.

It is a great place to enjoy the views of the wild life ( birds ) , plants and scenery along the lake . There is a small parking lot at the entrance. Which makes sense when you're in a concrete urban jungle day in and day out - we just weren't meant to live this way. I literally searched Yelp for a park in the area on my way home, and Lakeshore came up. Tucked away in a residential area, Lakeshore is a small-ish, serene, well-kept park with, as the name implies, a lake being the central point. I strolled on the path for a bit. I'm not sure how long the path is, but it seems like a good spot to get a decent walk in, and there were a few walkers and joggers. After stretching my legs for a bit, I grabbed some bench and watched the birds - geese (these guys are huge!), seagulls, ducks, and crows - hanging out and eyeballing me to determine if I had food. They were so cute. There is nothing that gets me feeling better fast than being around animals. The human animals that passed by were nice as well, with smiles and hellos, how refreshing. I spent some time just sitting and resetting. It was good. I need to do this more. Nice park, enjoyed a much-needed reprieve here, and would return.

From Lake Ontario all you see is two walls and grass and a little path - and it curves so you can't see far down at all. Much larger entrances to the park are found on the other roads that loop around like Lake Oneida St. There are large open parts of the park that face houses. Play ground and green grass and on a warm evening lots of neighbors there. Not a destination - meant for the locals - but nothing stops you from visiting. Beautifully designed neighborhood - this park caters to the more dense housing around it. Single family detached houses are around the larger park Sylvester P Harvey. Friendly and inviting. Let your dog sniff something new.

I feel like it's an unofficial dog park, since a lot of people come here just to let their dogs run around and play with other dogs. Great place to come walk, run, or cycle. Not much traffic coming through which is a plus. Sometimes I come out here to walk in the evenings. It feels relatively safe for walking alone (especially if you're a woman). There's also a basketball court and a playground. Would be nice if there was some bathrooms though!

With its many picnic tables and trees offering shaded cover, this is a great spot to host a party or large get together. Although there doesn't seem to be a dedicated parking lot, it neighbors a school that does have a lot and there are plenty of spots along the street. The road isn't too busy but there are occasional cars that roll through to commute between parts of Fremont. The playground itself boasts a multitude of modalities including climbing structures (rock wall, ladders, stairs, rope), monkey bars/rings, and slides. Based on the height and strength needed for some of the activists, I would say children between the ages of 4 and 12 would have a good time. The flooring is padded rubber so it's easy on the feet and falling children. The play area is surrounded by a raised concrete wall that is just wide enough to be used as a balance beam. Do take care, however, as the flooring outside the barrier is concrete so it isn't the most safe activity area. The field is huge and has large areas for soccer, kickball, soccer and other field sports. The grass is kept pretty short and it's decently maintained. There may be some uneven spots but for the most party, they've been filled. Overall, Blacow Park is conveniently located near schools and shopping malls which makes it a great spot for a quick break, and the size of the space is suitable for a larger gatherings. The field is certainly a highlight due to its vacancy but the playground is great as well due to its variety of activities and being upkept.

The walkway is quite nice and winds around and through different elevations, its much larger than it looks. Right now mustards are blooming and its very nice, the walkway also brings you to redwoods, etc...At the very far end where the bench is you can proceed onto a dirt path that goes under two huge power line towers like a scene from a movie. There is also a path on the right which leads to the closest connected neighborhood. The kids and I like this walkway a lot and enjoy it more than the standard injection molded playset. No parking lot, you can park at the school next to it or the street. Best to come early morning to avoid the crowds. We like coming here over the playgrounds at Central Park since its less crowded.

There's also a basketball court and a community center, which makes the park useful for different kinds of events. The playground area is decent, especially for kids. I noticed the padding looks like it was recently redone, which is nice. The play area has a little wall climber, slide, pole, and stairs. I do think the wood around the slide area could use some updating because it looks kind of old, and the slides seem extremely high, which I think should be changed or made safer. The bathrooms are currently being redone, so that's good to see. Overall, it's a decent park with good space and activities for families.

The park has improved over the years since they added bleachers at the parking lot as well as renovating the playgrounds. It's not really a big park but it's convenient for those who live really close to it. They have a building called Irvington Community Center, which I think is a place for children's activities. There is another building which is small. I think it was supposed to be a library, but is recently closed. Right next to it is the ballot drop box, where I usually go to drop my ballot envelope. Nothing much changed overall but it's good to reminisce the memories I have going here when I was a kid.
