This is going to be a long review because just writing that Mike was professional and did a great…read morejob, does not do our experience justice. We recently bought a home and needed the entire interior painted. I reached out to a few painters for estimates and Mike was the first to get back to me. I have worked with many professionals over the years and the service that Mike provided was the best I've ever experienced! First, he offered to come to our home for a walk through to provide an estimate the same day we hopped on a call. He gave great advice and suggestions on what was worth painting and I didn't feel like he was just trying to pocket more money. He was honest and actually tried his best to work with our budget. Compared to all of the other quotes I received, his pricing was fair and he even removed plantation shutters throughout the house at no additional charge. Another huge thing for us was timeline and Mike was able to get the job done within 4-5 days, whereas other companies were telling us 5-10 days. Now the reason why I believe Mike deserves 10+ stars is because of his accommodations, professionalism, and patience. I am probably the pickiest person in the world and crashed out over 50 shades of white paint lol. I wanted to find the perfect creamy white and went to town swatching the walls. After 8 different samples and 20+ swatches, I narrowed it down to two but still couldn't figure out what color I wanted to go with. To help me, Mike swatched the two colors side by side on the entire wall. It was two massive swatches to help me better visualize the color and I still couldn't decide! What he did next saved me thousands of dollars cause I honestly think if he had not done this, I would've picked the wrong shade and would've begged for him to come back and repaint the house lol. He swatched an entire wall one color and a different wall the other color and didn't tell me which was what. The fact that he did this was insane to me cause he could've easily done a dinky little swatch or recommended a color (knowing I wouldn't like it) and charge me thousands of dollars after to fix it. This really goes to show how honest and genuine of a person Mike is. I walked into the house and immediately was drawn to one wall, and hated how the other wall looked. My decision was final but at this point Mike could tell the type of person I am (LOL) so he suggested we color drench the doors, baseboards, and trim the same color but different sheen since he believed I probably wouldn't like the contrast of pure white compared to the color on the walls. He was correct in thinking this because color drenching was the way to go lol. I really feel like Mike went above and beyond and if it weren't for him, I probably would have picked the wrong color for the house and hated everything. But thanks to him, I felt confident in my decision and he even made great suggestions that I had not considered! I am SO grateful for his expertise and patience throughout this process. We also needed some areas touched up after they were finished and he came right away to touch those spots up. 10000% would recommend Mike/Hire a Painter to anyone. He's extremely knowledgeable in what he does and is truly just the kindest person I've ever met!

During the huge rains we had in Oceanside we developed a leak in our second floor bathroom in the area below a window. Various companies I called were not interested in trying to figure out the source of the problem and just blamed the windows. When I called Joseph however it was a different story. He is extremely detail oriented and took the time to investigate the potential causes. He determined it was from cracked stucco near the window, but not the window itself. Which made perfect sense with the location and behavior of the leak. He meticulously started opening up the stucco to see the extent of the damage. He found the paper under the stucco had deteriorated pretty severely on that wall due to the extreme sun exposure over the years. He continued to open it up until he was comfortable that he had exposed all the issues. After replacing all the damaged areas, stuccoing the entire wall and repainting, you couldn't even tell the whole side had been opened up. He even took the time to examine all the windows above the area of the leak for any damage, and thoroughly cleaned them and even resealed them. We also had Joseph remove a statue from an alcove and re stucco the area. And again, his work was impeccable. Paint matching was perfect. He took pictures of everything as he worked, he explained all of the things he was doing and why he was doing them. His pricing was very fair and communication was very good. On a personal note, he was a pleasure to work with. I appreciate his attention to detail, and his quality work. But he was also just a kind and friendly person to talk with. He would even offer to pick up food or supplies for us if we needed anything when he was on his way or getting supplies. I highly recommend Joseph in all regards.

We discussed the work over several weeks while I coordinated access to the property, and his pricing was competitive. Based on our conversations and the positive reviews I had read, I was looking forward to hiring him for the job. Unfortunately, my experience changed when it came time for the on-site estimate. We agreed on a date and time for him to visit the property, but he did not show up and did not contact me beforehand. Afterward, I attempted to reach him by phone and through Yelp messages but received no response. I understand that schedules change and unexpected circumstances arise. However, a simple phone call, text message, or message through Yelp would have been appreciated and demonstrated professionalism. The lack of communication was disappointing and ultimately caused me to reconsider moving forward with the company. While my initial interactions were positive, reliability and communication are important factors when hiring a contractor, and unfortunately my experience fell short in those areas.
