I work for a company that shadows children with disabilities, and I am here all day. The camp is run by a husband and wife, who are so energetic and sweet. The counselors are all high school graduates. You wouldn't guess that they were high schoolers. They are so great with the kids. There is swimming everyday and a variety of different activities they do. Everyday they do different activities (zip line, rock wall, fishing, paddle boats, horse back riding, arts and crafts, archery, and a few others.) The kids are so sweet here and have a blast. Someday when I have kids, I would most definitely send them here. Such a fun camp!

The teacher has been nice and the front counter lady. I havent had any problems. I do find it slightly expensive for it being a 30min class which is why I'm giving a 4 star. Other than that everyone's been kind, everything is clean. I like that the waiting area has AC. It is weird the dance studio doesnt though, not sure why that is. I saw a previous review complaint about mean kids. Though if the teacher saw it she should address it, if she didnt and the parent did then the parent should address it with either the teacher or parent of the other child? Weird to write a bad review on what another child says to your child. I would've just said something to the parent, or front office person and have them talk to the parent. Another review talked about them writing CC info on sticky notes? I registered online but I've never seen a sticky note with CC info but if that's true, that isnt safe and a new filing system is needed. Anyway, I'm satisfied over all. I recommend it.

Ultimately, we decided to move on because my daughter has lost interest in dance, but there were a few things that became difficult for us over time. The studio follows the local school holiday schedule closely while continuing to charge full monthly tuition during breaks, which is something prospective families may want to be aware of. Recital tickets were also around $40 each, which felt expensive to us, especially considering the performances were held at a local high school auditorium. We also personally hoped to see a bit more choreography and variety in the younger beginner classes' recital performances given the overall cost. Overall, we had a positive experience, and we're especially grateful to Ms. Zoe for making dance such an enjoyable experience for our daughter.

We've recommended the youth basketball league to many friends, who have now been a part of the Camarillo Family YMCA for years as well! The league is organized, fun & inclusive. The staff is very friendly & welcoming. Sports Program Director, Brandon, has been amazing to my family. He listens to our needs & is extremely communicative. I often have questions for him & he's always so helpful, patient & understanding. Overall, we are very pleased with the Camarillo Family YMCA. Thank you, Brandon & the rest of the staff. We appreciate you all more than we can express!

She also adored visiting and learning about local senior citizen centers -- cannot wait until she is old enough to volunteer at one. This is a fabulous camp to send your child to if you want her/him to grow up and be a person who makes the world a better place.

She loves going in, getting her things together and starting to make something. She loves that she has freedom to express and create... with some guidance and feedback but also enough room for her work to be HER work vs a cookie cutter composition that looks exactly like some other artist. She gets to see and play with art the way she wants to, AND I love bringing pieces home and hanging them on the wall. (Talk about a self-esteem booster for her!) I love that Cara and her team bring real art concepts to the kids in a way that they understand and relate to. I highly recommend The Arterie to anyone who is looking to support their child's artistic expression. It's sooooo important... And as an artist myself, I just love creating a love for arts with kids without judgement or assessment.
