It's a good place to let kids play during a raining day. Unlimited time and re-entry during the same day visit make it easier.

The facilities are nice, there's usually not a lot of people. And bathrooms are clean. But the staff is generally rude and have a really poor attitude. Just be prepared to be treated like you're at the DMV, not like going to a fun place with your kid.

He didn't care if there were no balls in the air gun. The noise it made was enough.

I retired to provide care for our 1 yr old grandson. While he's a bit feral and loves to climb EVERYTHING, it's hard to find parks that have equipment for his age. We visited during toddler time and no he did NOT want to stay in/explore the area designed for his age. We did all the things with the exception of the larger tube slides. We had soooo much fun I ended up getting a membership since cooler weather is coming. Wish I could remember the staff members name because she deserves a shout out too!

Always so fun for my kids. I'll be sad when they're too big to visit. The air hockey was a good addition.

We discovered this place online and I sent a inquiry for the location to have our wedding at. I got contacted by the sales team at the Hilton Garden Inn. Everyone we spoke to was very very nice and respectful. We then got contacted by Dolores Licon, she is the Director of Sales at the Hilton Garden inn, she is the sweetest person in the !! This Venue is HUGE and indoors with lots of windows and really tall ceilings, you could probably fit 150 people in this venue. If you want a venue that includes all the food, a coordinator, a bridal suite at the Hilton garden inn literally in the same parking lot,all the tables, the chairs, the fabric that covers the tables and chairs, a arch for the ceremony, all the setup and cleanup all in 1 AMAZING LOW PRICE, then this is the place you need to have your event/wedding at. Dolores and Juan helped us put our whole wedding together just the way we wanted, we requested to have a Nautical theme wedding and they knew exactly what we wanted, they asked us what colors we wanted our tables and chairs and with all their AMAZING advice, they helped us plan where everything should be setup. Our wedding was AMAZING, it was such a blast, that we didn't have to worry about anything. We had about 30 people at our wedding, we wanted to have a more personal wedding with our family and friends, at first we thought that this venue was too big for our small wedding, but it was absolutely perfect!! Our wedding cost less then $4,000 for everything!! All we had to pay extra for was our DJ from DevineVisualDJ's and that was not expensive either, and we had to get a cake. Our whole wedding was less then $5,000. Please see all my attached pictures to see what everything looked like. I HIGHLY!! RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR YOUR WEDDING AND EVENTS, you have the Hilton Garden Inn in the same parking lot, so your family and friends can drink and have a place to stay overnight and not have to worry about driving drunk. 5 stars to the Hilton Garden Inn Sales Team and the Whole Hilton Garden Inn staff that welcomed us and made us feel so comfortable during our stay and during our event. The limited hours of 9 to 12 on Saturday mornings hasn't worked for us in conjunction with other plans on the Oxnard Plain. I was glad to see that they were participating in Ventura County Farm Day, and staying open later than usual. We made it one of the definite stops we planned for the Farm Day activities. It was not what I expected. Good surprise! First, it's tucked into a neighborhood with green belts and a park, which gives a more spacious feeling than I was imagining. It's also not near any other farmland. What they do have is a number of vintage buildings, several plots where they're growing crops, some farm machinery, and more. There's a lot to take in visually. On Farm Day there was an added bonus that a gentleman was operating an old printing press, then giving away the bookmarks he made. They were literally "hot off the presses". He had a wry sense of humor, and it was fun visiting with him. We weren't able to pick up a stamp for the Passport 2 History program, as we never found the rep for the property. We were greeted by volunteers for the SEEAG group, the organization promoting Farm Day. Guess we'll have to go back to enjoy the surroundings one Saturday morning. I recommend this venue for families with kids, as there's lots to see, interesting backdrops for photos, and opportunities to talk about where food comes from, besides Ralph's!

The OLD BAIT AND SWITCH . He never mentioned that we weren't able to take our own food and that I had to have catering service provided by them. I was disappointed but remained calm because my daughter was there. He said " don't worry, we'll figure this out" I'll followed up on Tuesday. He also went on an unnecessary rant that Knights of Columbus has a half a million dollar lawsuit going on in addition to being fined by the County of Ventura which is none of my concern and something that shouldhave been disclosed during the initial meet. It is unfortunate that being a fraternal organization who's reputation is about integrity and community service I disappointed that this experience did not align with those values. This morning, during my conversation with Ed,he tried to gaslight me saying he is honoring the initial price BUT...I stopped him and asked him to them explain why I was never quoted a price for their Menu, of course he didn't know what to say and I asked him to at the very least acknowledge that and all he said is Im waiting for you to stop talking so I can hang up. I spoke to some friends about what had occured and I was surprised to hear a few stories about their unethical behaviour. I wouldn't recommentthis organization because they clearly aren't transparent, breached my trust, unethical behaviour and attempting to gaslight me by telling me he WAS honoring the intitial price even though the final price was SIGNIFICANTLY higher. They clearly do not practice what they preach.

Shout out to…read moreYelper All-Star Derek W. of Lakewood, CA for inspiring me with his awesome photos and experiences! The challenge I'm finding is parks being open through the week, when we (ahem) "more mature folks" like to enjoy less crowds. So when I saw Heritage Square in Oxnard was open, with possible docent tours, on a TUESDAY, I jumped on the opportunity to partake of some local history. We headed for the Square and saw some parking but, being a first timer, I decided to drive around the entire square and see the layout from the street. I decided to park on W Seventh St, to the north and take advantage of shade, and the close proximity to Heritage Coffee and Gifts(separate review), which I knew we would wander into before departing the area. Turns out W Seventh is the perfect place to start. We entered and immediately were taken with the beautiful architecture, landscaping, care and attention to detail this special area exudes. It was all pretty magical and I wasn't sure where to start. Luckily, it wasn't more than a few steps in that we spotted the water tower and visitor's center/gift shop/central hub. We stepped inside and were greeted warmly. I explained that I saw they had docent lead tours and we could sign up online, but I wasn't sure what time we would arrive, so I didn't make a reservation. Was it still possible to get a tour, or was there a self-guided walking tour info sheet? We were asked to wait a moment while the manager and lead docent was found to see if they were available. Gary was available and we began our tour. What a WONDERFUL storyteller! Weaving the families and their history with Los Angeles and Ventura Counties and bringing them to life in front of their very lovingly restored homes! He took us inside of some of the buildings, where operational businesses agree to have the public tours pop in for a moment of show and tell. Details about the original designs, room layouts, furnishings and use were all so amazing to see, touch and learn about. The tour lasted about 45 minutes. We paid $10/pp and it was well worth it! Just to hear the history of the on-site church alone was worth it! But to venture inside, see the details in the hand-made stained glass and the conversion of the oil lanterns to electric. To hear how it has changed denominations over the years and to view the photos inside, documenting the preparation of the Square, the moving process for the homes and the restoration was so intriguing. This is such a beautiful and unique area. I love that these beautiful homes were repurposed and are thriving with businesses! At the end of the tour, Gary encouraged us to check out the annual Holly Trolley Tours, Christmas Tree Lane Event and Gingerbread House Exhibit and tours. All sounded absolutely delightful!. I immediately signed up for their newsletter and I'm REALLY looking forward to returning durning the holiday season and posting more pics of festively dressed docents and delightful decorations. Cheers! "CC"

It was our wedding and my husband and I were not served first. There is no organization with the manager she is all over the place. Never has a notebook to take notes during meetings it is very concerning. She told one of my guests there was only fruit because i didnt pay for appetizers to be served before dinner. Professionalism awful going back and forth in text messages instead of being solution driven and making it right. Example she was including a "free" cake to seal the deal! She had sent my husband a text with a list of flavors. We chose them this was an event for 300 ppl so we got a tiered cake and 2 side cakes. Well one of the options she said wasn't in her list even though it was. They went back and forth and her resolution was giving us a check for $900 and expressing she was "done" . We paid you $25k you cant just be "done " extremely unprofessional. READ YOUR CONTRACT! She did not explain that the 2 million dollars worth of coverage was not included. Get your own event insurance. The phone number given was to a guy that was completely unprofessional I went through google got more days covered and paid $175 instead of the $335 from her recommendation and it was the exact same company. Bar service that they provided was absolutely terrible my ceremony started at 2 so bar should have been stocked up and ready the night before or early that morning. They rolled in at 1:30 and were not ready to serve until 2 and the beers were warm By 530 they were already running out of basics like Pacifico. Also bar was EXPENSIVE service was slow. There were so many negatives I could go on and on. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND HAVING AN EVENT HERE.
