I've been going to Pace Veterinary Clinic ever since I moved to the area about 5 years ago. Let me start by saying I'm a helicopter Mama when it comes to my babies! I have two dogs and five cats! YES, FIVE cats Dr. Walker, Dr Webb and the entire staff are absolutely AMAZING! One of my dogs is very nervous and can be a bit reactive around other animals and humans he doesn't know. They're absolutely wonderful with him and give him the extra attention he requires. One, of my older cats can be VERY spicy and they are great with her as well! Actually, they are AMAZING with all of them. They don't try to rip you off with unnecessary tests and will try the least expensive and invasive options first. This is important to me seeing how many fur babies I have. I HIGHLY recommend Pace Vet clinic! read more

Dr. Walker is truly an exceptional veterinarian, and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to know him. The kindness, grace, and attentiveness he has shown to my dogs have consistently exceeded my expectations. When I first started at this clinic, I had a senior group of dogs that required a lot of care, especially as we faced the heartbreaking loss of a few of them over the years. My dog has never been boarded in his 7yrs of life. I told the technician my concerns when scheduling that he'd be a little anxious and please don't hesitate to call if they have any issues with him. She was very polite and said they'd take good care of him. Fast forward to pickup day- I show up to pickup my dog and pay via telephone. A very nice young man brought him out to the car and my dog had a large open wound on his nose. Apparently it was self inflicted- which I believe as he was anxious and jumping around in the kennel. My displeasure is the fact no one called me or even warned me before bringing him out. Their advice was to use Neosporin and left it at that. Disappointed I didn't get a heads up, won't be using them for services again due to lack of transparency or communication. read more

Do NOT recommend this place. If you want a vet tech who smokes weed on her breaks, and mishandles information then this is your place. I saw her in her car, smoking and listening to rap music, then took my dog in and just hoped she wasn't around him. During his nail trim, my dog was very uncomfortable as well as when he came back smelled like pot. I suggest the owner do a drug test...they don't care about anything but your money... read more

Our family had a really hard decision to make and Dr. Walker showed compassion & empathy like no other veterinarian I've encountered. I was a vet tech for 24 years and this is the first time I have experienced a doctor who understood my true devastation. He is simply amazing and we will continue to use him for our other 5 animals. read more

This is a very professional and caring vet. They are very good about getting us in, always have a good supply of materials on hand and care about our dog. They usually are busy and have an excellent following in the local area. The staff is always ready to help, even if you just need to purchase medication. I think the previous negative reviews aren't fair to those who work hard and have done great things for me and thousands of other area pets. This is a medical field, and things don't go always as planned, for the best bet or human doctors. I suggest you look at their years of business and repeat customers to see beyond these two limited reviews. read more

We had wonderful care at Pace Vet Clinic. Fair prices, great services, great people.

I took my dog in there for an emergency C-section. When I got her home an hour later period I noticed a scab on her back. The scab fell off and now she is left with a scar for life. Its been 5 months now and the scar is still there. My dog will never grow hair there again and it's shaped like a pyramid on her back. What happens was whoever gave her the injection went between the skin and it burned the top layer of skin. To top it off. I took my dog back to get staples removed and to ask what happened to her back. They wouldn't let me talk to the doctor and said I had to make another appointment. No apology for their botched shot that will always be there. The staff is incompetent and uncaring. You are better off to take your pet elsewhere. With a more experienced caring staff. read more

I have taken 2 cats to Pace Veterinary over the last 15 years. Their charges are expensive & they insist you have a meeting with every service even if for dewormer pills. My last cat needs to be put to sleep as she's got dementia & now has lost the use of her hind leg. they wanted to charge $175 for euthanasia. Price included change for not being in their office in a while. I last saw them 3 years ago for a 3 year rabies shot. If the cat hasn't been sick why would I have been there? My cat is suffering & all they care about is the money. Woodbine Animal Clinic is doing it for $103, and I've never used them before. Woodbine truly cares about their patients. I will NEVER go to Pace Vet again. I want a vet who cares. Highly suggest Woodbine Animal Clinic. read more

Dr. Mongue and his staff have always been very professional and caring in the care of our cat Gino. I have never had a problem getting in when our fur baby has gotten injured or sick and they are able to keep him calm while treating him with gentle care. They always take the time to answer any and all questions and make appropriate suggestions. read more

My son and daughter-in-law took their Kitty in for a spray procedure. They have four children who loved her dearly. Today she died. The kitty was not kept overnight and sent home with pain meds. After multiple phone calls because she was not eating or drinking, she was taken in on Saturday morning and given another shot for pain. Today an ultrasound was done and allegedly and exploratory surgery. "Something" was on the ultrasound and they said it was infection. This was a botched spay procedure! They were not going to charge them for it, which is very telling. These "professionals" killed this sweet, young kitty and have broken our hearts. Negligence like this, will not go unnoticed. How do you tell the children their Kitty has died? We will NEVER take a pet to this clinic! I was there and saw her suffering. DO NOT take your beloved pets to this clinic!! I am horrified at this negligence! read more
