Patience and kindness creates an environment where personal progression and comfort is the collective goal. Additionally, this patience helps him explain moves and form to the densest of blockheads (me!). He shows care for his students both as learners of martial arts and as individuals with goals, struggles, and interests outside of the academy. He was very transparent during the trial and sign on phase of RDMAA - giving exact insight as to what is/is not covered with each membership. 10/10 great community and environment for bettering yourself and others.

After a year at RDMA and with much disappointment I must change my recommendation for Red Dragon…read more In Spring of 2022 I joined the Dragons! In the beginning Eric was great! We became close friends very quickly. After a few months I joined his Certified Instructor In-Training program and helped with the after school program and student pickups. We worked together to come up with ideas of how to make this business better and more successful. It felt like a dream that I was finally starting a career in martial arts. Soon thereafter, in March of 2023, Eric began falling behind in paying me. Though unfortunate, I understood that times are difficult for everyone and told him it was ok. I continued to work and do my best to help him draw in more business. $75-100 wasn't going to make or break anything for me at that point. I even cut my own hours a little to make it easier for him. However the pattern continued and worsened. In May he laid me off and told me it was only going to be 2/3 weeks. He just needed to get caught up on payments. Again, I understood and said ok, even though I was disappointed. Due to the now steady loss of income I had to immediately start looking for other work which took away from time I could spend training. Fast forward to now, in July, I finally received my last payment of $75 (the total owed since April was $300). This was met with him blocking and removing me from anything that had to do with the TKD school, and giving my things away. During the few months Eric and I worked together not only did he start falling behind financially, but he became very distant. Not just as a "business partner", but as a friend, too. The morning/afternoon classes we had agreed that I would run he started holding himself without so much as telling me that he had found people who were interested. On pick up days that I was not scheduled I frequently received nasty phone calls from my daughter's school saying that she was never picked up. My oldest would call me frantically saying Eric never showed up. I received phone calls from other schools when they couldn't get a hold of him, usually because his phone was shut off for not paying the bill, to tell me he had also forgotten to pick up other children. When confronted he told me I was wrong and that it was my job even though I was not scheduled for those days, and the school confirmed. He found it an issue to tell me who was picking up my kids from school when it wasn't him after he laid me off. Saying that no one else asked so he didn't see the need to tell me. I was 1 of 2 parents affected by this change. The other parent also had an issue with not knowing who was responsible for picking up our children on those days. The last straw for me was when my oldest (10) came home in tears telling me Eric had called her racist and she had no idea why. I can't think of any reason why things would go the way they have other than his pride and embarrassment. Adults, especially those who call themselves friends, shouldn't have an issue with a simple conversation. Which is all this needed to be. So if you're looking for a place to do martial arts that may not be around much longer, may forget to pick up your kids from school (or just be consistently 30+ minutes late), a teacher who may insult your children, and run by just an all around bad businessman, then RDMA is the place for you. Also, my review is starting to be hidden on other platforms.

All bad signs. I had an MRI done and, as suspected, "rotator cuff tendinopathy with high-grade tearing and sequela of prior repair" was the impression. Then Instagram fed me an add for Stretch Labs. I stretch my body frequently anyway. I swear it's what has preserved my body for 63 years. And the concept of someone actively pushing my range of motion beyond what I can do independently, resonated with me. So I signed up. I'm glad I did. Now I have full range of motion, I don't need surgery or pain management, I can lift weights and work out without concern, and all I had to do was endure a little discomfort as the stretchers at Stretch Labs helped my shoulder reach a new range of motion. I give Stretch Lab, and this location, my highest recommendation. Peace.
