When I moved to Harrisburg, I was looking for alternate internet options outside of Comcast et al, and found this company. The internet service itself is good and its very affordable, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Some examples:
1. When setting up my service the first time, I was told that they would contact me to schedule a time to check out my building and see if I was a candidate for their wireless internet. They never contacted me, and I later learned that they just came out and got on my roof without letting me know. Weird.
2. The dudes who showed up to install my service were flippant about the above situation, and also made some jokes and comments that made me feel not so comfortable while they were in my home.
3. Their website is an absolute joke, especially for a tech company. The initial login screen isn't secure, for one. Once I figured out how to get to a secure login screen, I found their online payment option, and it looks like it came out of 1998. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
4. I have had a lot of difficulty setting up automatic payment on my account. First they wanted me to write my bank information on a form and send it by postal mail to them. Not doing that. You can't do this yourself through their website.
5. They wanted me to reset my password by dictating it to them over the phone. I declined, and learned that I could do this through their online system. I did, and now appear to be locked out of my account. Cool.
So, it's a good option for bucking Comcast, and the service is fine, but now I understand why they've been around so long and no one has heard of them. read more
