When the time finally comes, I drive 45 minutes from home to Flemington MVC. I walk in and have all my documents, INCLUDING my "Motot Vehicle Commision issued driver's license renewal form." I finally reach the receptionist, and she denies me because "the system won't accept my renewal form." Why put something on a .gov website if the information isn't valid??? I speak to one of the managers and she says come back when your new license comes in the mail, we will accept you without an issue. She also gives me a specific date and time to come back. About two weeks pass, and I come back here at 8 AM after my new license arrives, and I get denied AGAIN! This time because "my license and passport are both too up-to-date, and real IDs are for people whose licenses are closer to expiring." This is coming from the supervisor by the way. Now after waiting 4 months and getting all my correct documents in order, I have to reschedule and wait ANOTHER 3-4 months. The level of unprofessionalism and disorganization is beyond insane to me. 1. Why post FALSE information on your website? 2. (Needed a real ID) it opens at 8:30 and I arrived at 8:23 to a long line in the parking lot. As soon as it opened the line moved fairly quickly and I was seated with a number by 9:15. My number was called in less than 20 mins and it was printed by 9:58. Was so surprised. It's probably worse the later you go in the day, it got busier and busier as time went on. I highly recommend getting there when it opens. Seems like if you do, you'll be able to get in and out of there in less than two hours.

Once you get inside the building (the line often snakes outside into the parking area) ask the guard that is just inside the entrance door if there is a separate line for "pictures only" and they may let you bypass the line. You'll need a camera card (mailed to you after you renew your license) to get a number. With the number, you can proceed directly to the "A" station to get your picture taken. If you need other services or didn't renew on-line, the wait can be 2-4 hours. (KOP DMV, if you are reading this, it would be really helpful if you set up a separate 'pictures only' line right at the main entrance.)

Since folks at PA Driver's License Centers rarely get any praise, I want to give a shout-out to the…read morefolks at the Bensalem location on Neshaminy Blvd. I renewed my driver's license online more than a month ago; however, my camera card never arrived in the mail. I called PennDot and the kind assistant there told me to just go in with my proof of registration and payment, and a new camera card and license would be issued. I opted for the Bensalem location and he agreed it was the best choice - I arrived to a moderate line before the location opened; however, MULTIPLE staffers came out and checked in with everyone in line as to why we were there and what we needed. While it was busy, I was able to get a duplicate camera card and get out in under an hour. All of the staff were friendly and efficient, and everyone moved through quickly. Compared to the frank wait forever NIGHTMARE the Huntingdon Valley location closer to me can be, this was a breeze. Thanks to a great group of employees who really showed they CARE about their customers.

I went to the DMV office at 2904 South 70th Street to get a REAL ID same day issue…read more I arrived on a Wednesday afternoon at 1:55 p;m. and was finished by 2:45 There were no lines out the door. There was a person checking documents and answering questions. I was given a number and some forms to complete. When my number was called, I went to an area where I was able to sit down, get my documents processed and pay the fees. Then I was given a new ID card which is good for 5 years. Note that the REAL ID does not say REAL ID on it, it's the same as my old ID with a gold star on the upper right side of the card.
