This place is the Penn Dot Driver's Service Center these days, although the signage may not have kept up with the its common parlance. Regardless, this is where you go in this part of Bucks County for all things driver's license and auto registration related. It sits at the bottom of Neshaminy Boulevard, just behind the mall. It was time for my license renewal (with photo), and I also needed information about how to secure a license for someone from out of country applying for the first time. The first was accomplished in less than 10 minutes just before 4:00 on a beautiful Spring afternoon. The second took a bit longer, as I learned that in order to secure a license for a foreigner who is waiting for a Green Card, is to obtain a social security number first, and then have a doctor complete another form vouching that the applicant does not suffer from a seizure disorder. Of course, these steps are easier said than done. At least, we had already applied for a work permit as well as the Green Card, but how long we would have to wait for Homeland Security to process them was another matter entirely. Can't blame one bureaucracy for the foibles of another, but being at their collective mercy left us with a sense of frustration and annoyance. At least, these folks were friendly and capable of human interaction. Same can't be said for DHS.

I have been here since 9AM. AND I AM STILL WAITING! LIKE ITS 1PM! THEY ARE SO UNORGANIZED AND HAVE NO SEATING.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I have been waiting for 4 hours, and they aren't even close to my number. I am so ready to leave! I never wanna come here again

Had to get my drivers license renewed today and besides the flashbacks to getting ready to take the drivers test for the 1st time, I was able to take care of business without issue. Once you walk in, immediately see the person at the front desk for a number. Since this location offers multiple services, you want to get a number (to get in the 'right' line) as quickly as possible to avoid unnecessary wait time. After that, take a seat in the most uncomfortable chairs Penn Dot could find while paying attention for your number to be called. If you manage to show up at the right times, like me, you can get in and out in less than 20 minutes.

Waiting an hour for every step of getting a learner's permit. Not enough seating. Terrible experience. Don't go on Tuesday.

Their re-entry ticket system doesn't work. After waiting for almost a hour, they realize something is wrong.

We arrived needing to change our current registration to PA and was immediately told we could not do so without have proof of PA insurance. I explained to them that we are are active duty military and that we don't currently reside in PA (because of the military) but we have proof on insurance. Our insurance is equal to and/or greater than PA requirement. The employee simply said this is the law, you have to have PA insurance and sent us on our way. One quick call to PENNDOT confirmed that the insurance we have is completely acceptable and confirmed we can in fact register our vehicle as long as our current insurance provider has the capability to insure PA drivers (which they are). It's very frustrating when people don't even try to help. This employee was only interested in doing the absolute bare minimum (but not even) and doesn't know the actually rules providing top notch inconvenience of service. I absolutely do not recommend going here at all!

People are miserable and not helpful at all. They don't give you your registration tight then and there you have to wait 3 months. They will not answer the phone when you call. The lady took the phone off the hook because I kept trying to call. You have to waste your time and go in person which is super frustrating. The hours on their "website" have not been updated for years so you don't even know when they are open. Total disaster of a business!

As I sat and waited for the flatbed to arrive, and load my dear Infiniti on its back to transport to my local auto mechanic for a final check out before the long goodbye, I had the great fortune to meet a local police officer from Langhorne Borough P.D., who made sure I was in a safe place. More than that, he parked his cruiser behind me with lights flashing to assure that as dusk turned to night I would not be alone. We chatted as the expected 30 minute wait became 90 because the AAA wrecker went on a call across the county before coming to assist me, and then learned that his truck lacked the necessary equipment to haul my old friend from the roadway. The apology was a little lame and altogether insincere as AAA admitted they could not provide the service I had been paying and waiting for this night. That was when my officer companion called his dispatcher and requested he call the local tow truck company to handle this ever lengthening situation. Simon's Garage & Towing was on the scene within 20 minutes, and took care of business. He had the experience needed to get the job done. What I am sure the policeman anticipated would be a short wait on his evening shift, had become several hours long ordeal into the night. He never lost his cool. He was always professional, assuring, and fully in charge. For a small department of 3 officers and a chief, I always felt he was doing his job, and would have stayed longer if necessary. To the old saw about where is a policeman when you need one, I reply - doing their jobs for those in need every night of the week. Three cheers to the Langhorne Borough Police Department!!!
