We learned about Indian Crossing Casino about a year ago and knew they offered a smash burger…read more Recently we decided to stop by and check it out. The location does not house a gambling casino. Casino used to refer to a building for dancing, meetings, and entertainment, hence the name. We parked in the lot and headed toward the wooden building with the curved roof. The casino building and some of the nearby buildings reminded me of buildings at Indiana Beach, and I realized these had some history to them as well. They date back to the 1920s, and it's great to see them still in use. Inside, we found a lot of seating, a curtained stage for live music, a bar, and garage doors open to the Chain O'Lakes. The spring-fed lake nearby has beautiful blue green water and was busy with boat traffic on a warm sunny Saturday. We found some seats and the bar and ordered some beers. I noticed they also had cocktails and wine, and some nice glassware to compliment the beverages. We both ordered the Wanna Smash Burger: two patties with American cheese, thick peppery bacon, lettuce, red onion, and their ICC sauce served with kettle potato chips ($18). I didn't really want bacon on my burger, but it turned out that this was some really fine thick bacon, hanging well outside of the boundaries of the bun, and it was delicious. The burger was good as well, the ICC sauce had a bit of sweetness to it, and all of the flavors worked well together. The access to the lake on a beautiful day makes this a great option for food and/or drinks. And they host live music, yoga, and other events well.

The billboard says "where the locals go" so We thought it would be good. We were happy we did. I had the Perch and my husband had the all you can eat Pollock. Both were very good but surprisingly I liked the pollock better. Great service We definitely will be back.

We've been wanting to visit Anglers Bar & Grill in Fremont for a while now, and it happened to be…read moreon our way from Waupaca on Taco Tuesday...which is also Bingo night! The parking lot was packed, but we were starving, so we went inside and found the brightest bar we've ever seen. Obviously the lights were on full strength for bingo night and it was full of people having fun playing Bingo! The bar was full all the way around, but we found one tiny, empty table on the wall that we were able to snag! We ordered our drinks from the bar and a server came out to take our orders. We started with the taco fries, which were on special, since it was Taco Tuesday - so yummy! We caught the last couple of rounds of bingo...while we waited for our food. We enjoyed watching and listening to everyone play bingo. The menu was loaded with choices and we both ended up ordering the Philly Cheesesteak. This was a fun time with yummy food...so we can't wait to visit again!

A couple of things I should mention about the previous reviews. One, they DO have a sign saying No…read moreCredit or ATM Cards...and they also have an ATM machine. This is very, very common in taverns in rural areas. This 'ain't the big city'. Two, a long wait on a "Special" night such as fish fry night is normal, anywhere. My wife and I have stopped here probably half a dozen times over the past few years. There are about 3 routes we can take to get from our home south of Wautoma to Appleton, one of which runs the back roads between Wild Rose and Hwy 10 and takes us past Goode's. We often pick this route *just to stop for hamburgers at Goode's*. The prices are reasonable, but the burgers are outstanding and probably one of the best bar burgers in Wisconsin. We have never had a problem with service...but we've never been there when the place was jam packed. It's a small tavern, they can manage two bartenders at the most. On nights like Friday Fish Fry, I can imagine that the kitchen and bar might be overtaxed a bit, but this is not uncommon for similar sized and structured places and is to be expected. Yesterday when we stopped in, they had a good crowd for their bloody mary special, yet our food came promptly and was fantastic. I've never had anything but the Dee Dee Burger, but I've heard that the rest of their menu items are great. Plus, it's a friendly place. We've never been without conversation with the bartenders and locals when stopping there. 5 stars in my book.

Great service , good fish, good drinks. Already recommended it to friends.Going again right now!read more
