This may not be fresh per se, but they really bring out the flavor for those of us who love fish in all forms - and bury it for those who don't. For meal one we had: me stuffed shrimp; her the pescado frito (the one with the cute little head and teeth). For meal two it was me: crema de camaron and a taco gobernador; her the grilled fish. Both times we had the avocado salsa and every last thing was great. Our drinks were mediocre the first night, but on visit #2 we had some bomb cocktails (hers was Jamaica-based;'mine was Gin with blueberry juice ). Service and ambiance are cool. This is a chain so we can't speak of the other locations, but this one was great for couples and big groups alike. Make a reservation if you're dining on the weekend!

If you want to try tradicional, go for the menu in black that can be found in the middle of the menu. Otherwise, pick any other dish menu like a roll or a tuna toast. The service was very good and helped us in several ways. As we didn't know the place, the person helped us on what to eat and drink matching our hopes and expectations. It left a very good impression. Just hope everybody can have this kind of treatment on almost (I know it's impossible) every meal. We went there for dinner around 9:30/10 pm in a Friday and didn't make reservation and also didn't have to wait for a table. It's is really good to know that a place like this can have seats available without reservation. I ordered two drinks: one aperol spirit (my guess this is a variation of the normal aperol spritz) and a drink made with mint licor and gin. The gin one was incredible good, but a little bit sweet. The aperol was good but nothing espetacular. If you care so much to see the sushiman work, you can try seating in from of him, but in this particular restaurant I don't see any difference. Excellent choice near Valle Oriente neighborhood and much better than the other Japanese + Mexican restaurants near.

The place was huge and it was jam packed. We were promptly seated too. The two salsas and chips had no flavor to them. The one we thought was queso was actually some kind of mayo dip, not even a tartar sauce. It tasted just horrible. My hubs ordered grilled shrimp and they came with an over powering red seasoning powder. They were generous in portion, very generous actually, but not as good as a grilled shrimp he was expecting. One in the party ordered a shrimp w/cheese sauce and pasta, but not an Alfredo sauce. Now, that was great. I had a bit of her dish. Another ordered ceviche, but said it had too much onion on it for her taste and her Mom took it home with her to have for lunch the next day. The cousin who recommended this place ordered bacon wrapped jalapeno with cream cheese. Really really good, crispy bacon and none of the cream cheese had fried out! Lastly, my order. Fried Tilapia. It has been three days now and I am still not feeling well. As soon as I tasted it, I knew it was off and should have known better. I suggest anybody who goes to ask the wait staff what is most popular. It may be the best option.
