They're not really the 'IT Support' store you expect them to be. All they care about are sales. The staff know NOTHING about computers, and if you ask them about the brands, they just read it off the label! Plus all of the equipment is way too overpriced.
I work as an IT Administrator and qualified as an IT engineer. I went in to 'test' their service and knowledge and I was disappointed. I could explain more about the equipment they were selling than they could!
Never go here for support or repairs as you will leave with empty pockets. They charge you a bomb for the repair and don't even carry it out properly. They lost my friends data without backing it up and said 'we should have done it'. Now normally I would back up my own data but to hear that kind of service from a 'professional'? You would be better off going to a local repair store than this let down franchise.
Heck, I wouldn't even recommend buying a computer from this place. They will always try and get that last penny off you with all their 'support packages' which you can get for free online anyway. I built my own gaming PC with parts I bought from Amazon for under £300 (decent high end parts by the way). And even this lasts longer than the '1 year warranty then suddenly fail' tactics they give you. Buy your PC online, or again, a local IT store. You get more value for your money!
I encourage people not to ever use Currys or PC World. Like I said, you have better luck buying or repairing a PC from a local IT store. I would definitely recommend iTech on St.Pauls roundabout. Just throwing it out there. Cheap and excellent service. read more
