Probably the biggest toy and kids shop in Southampton, definitely in the city centre. Situated opposite West Quay retail park its in a good location. Its new facelift this year really has improved it, giving it a fresh breath of life into the store. I really used to love Toys R Us as a child, I was only allowed to visit once or twice a year to get christmas and birthday and I loved going round with all the toys. As an adults toys and games still have they're appeal but to me Toys R Us has lost it, catering for cheap quality imported toys to sell easily and it really does annoy me. And the prices aren't competitive at all. Still good for board games and often has 3 for 2 on different brands. read more

Massive toy store in the West Quay shopping area. Huge range of kids toys and new born clothing. There is a massive range and you can pretty much get any kids toys you want. There is easy parking and the store is really easy to navigate. Staff are friendly and helpful and are also very informative on the products on offer. Not the cheapest toy store in town when you have Tesco's Homebase and the entertainer nearby. They also seem to not have everything in stock and tend to sell out of all the newest and most wanted toys so quickly and take ages to get stock back in. read more

There's not much i can really say on toys r us. its just freaking fantastic! The range of toys in here is amazing, everything from babies right up to 16 year olds! and theres a good choice in every age category. Prices arent too bad, their own range, Beanstalk, is brilliant! very good if your on a budget! The store is absolutely huge so make sure the kids are on reigns! Its also open untill 10pm so when the kids are asleep (of course with a babysitter) you can go do the christmas shopping or get birthday presents without them seeing a thing!!! read more

There is a large section devoted to the babies r us department, although the two parts operate as one store, no-one in toys r us can help you with babies r us and vice - versathis can be slightly frustrating. The store is huge and newly revamped to be a flag ship store, weeknights it is open until 10pm so great for rushing out to buy a last minute present or just something to entertain the kids (or yourself!) with. The babies r us is well priced, but is a bit limited in selections of buggies/prams etc. They have a great selection of cot bedding and nursery furniture which is well worth investigating. Toys r us is great, and the staff are seriously helpful! If you don't know what to buy..they do! Great for party bags aswell as main presents they have lots of fun items which will cheaply entertain as well! read more

A big toy shop with a great range for young people and a few things for older people e.g. games consoles. They have some really good offers and give things free with some toys. You can get things cheaper here than other shops . The staff are really helpful. read more

Very large toy store situated near the train station in Southampton. There is lots of toys, games, gadgets, etc to choose from and the prices are not too bad. The store opens to late at night, so even if you have finished work you can always pop in there to buy a few things for your children or your friends children's or relatives. read more

I have only ever been to this branch so have nothing to compare it to however I thought it was great. The aisles jam packed with toys and delights for children (and adults) of all ages. I thought it was large, cool and spacious which made my shopping experience so much better. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they made sure I got everything I wanted. I must admit I found it a bit too big to begin with but once you start walking around you soon work out where everything is. I also liked the late night shopping times as was useful not having to take the children. read more

This is a massive toy shop that you simply cannot miss. Its somewhere I have used for the past 12 years and cannot complain. It does have a large selection of some toys and games and is restricted in other areas but if you are looking for a gift or present there is definately something for kids of all ages. read more

Not a very big range of products compared to normal Toys R Us stores. Staff were not very helpful and there were long queues at the tills. No one bothered to open up extra tills or to apologise for keeping the customers waiting. I'm not going to be going back to this particular store read more

Staff were very unhelpful in the babies r us section . Didn't apologise for keeping me waiting and we're not interested in trying to help me find what I was looking for especially being 37+ weeks pregnant I felt ignored and let down . Staff were rushing past to avoid you before you could say excuse me could I have your help. Very rude won't be going there again !! Very over rated and high priced. read more

As a shop which should by all means offer a huge range of toys it does fulfil what i would expect a decent shop to be. it is well organised and neatly shelved. however, dont go near the place around christmas as you might never get out again (haha). the staff are 50/50 some helpful some not, and the managers appear to flail around somewhat at times. all in all not a bad place to shop provided you arent already stressed from young ears. read more
