They actually dig into and find the root of the problem. They are straight shooters. They tell you what it really needs and that's it.

While traveling from Indiana to northern Michigan, two camper tires blew and we were out of spares. It was 8 pm and everything was closed, but P&R went above and beyond, checking their own trailer tires for a match, mounting one on our rim, and bringing it back to us. They even guided us off the highway to avoid rough roads and get us safely back on track. read more

Very helpful and accommodating while my vehicle was awaiting insurance settlement after an accident.

P&R is the most honest business I've ever dealt with. They've always been there when I needed help with a problem even when they were busy. They will not charge for anything unless it's definitely broken. And they'll tell you if it's not broken. They're the best. read more

I've been taking my car to P and R as long as I've owned it. These guys are great. Always fair, and friendly. Estimates are always reasonable, and repairs are done quickly. My car is nearly 20 years old, but they have it running like new. I recently picked up my car and found one of the handles was damaged. I told Al, and he came right out, looked at it, said he'd find me a replacement part, and take care of it. That was it, no hassle, no stress. Totally professional. I'm so grateful! read more

buyer beware do not use them for towing. They charged $400 to tow my car from Stevensville to Benton Harbor and $150 a day for storage. I will never use them again for any type of service. read more

I had some annoying problems with my cranky old 1997 Saturn, and the guys at Nye's in Baroda referred me to P & R as the go-to place for specific auto body issues. When I got there, they diagnosed and got to work on the problem within seconds, and were extremely kind and generous in the process. And then POOF, fixed. Just like that. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

They advertise being open till 7 p.m. And yet I call at 5 p.m. And they say their about to close shop and they can't do a quick check on my car. Poor customer service read more

Amazing service, I 100% recommended this company. Great people that are reliable and quick.

We had a problem, our car started smoking from the hood & the check engine light came on. We were on the interstate highway in Stevensville on our way back to IL. The tow truck picked us up. The owner,Al asked us what happened & said they would check it out. They found the problem & fixed it. He also found a screw in a tire in a place that was not repairable so he replaced the tire with a used one. Very good service & fair price!!! Also saved us from having a flat tire too!! read more

After all these years I finally found a car repair place that I feel I can 100% trust when I take my cars in for service!!!!! The owner has in the past, actually phoned me to tell me to come get my vehicle because it doesn't need the tune up which I thought it did! Brake job went bad after several months and they replaced them at no charge!!! I'm sure there are other honest mechanics in the world, but this is the first one that has earned my trust!!! Wish I had found him years ago!!!!! read more

We called them from the road at 5pm on a Saturday after getting a flat tire on I-94. We put on the spare and drove to their shop. Our tire was beyond repair but they sold us a used tire, same size. We were able to get back on the road quickly so we can buy a new tire to match the other three when we get home. They were very professional and helpful. We couldn't be happier. read more

P & R Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Stevensville, Michigan

We are exceptionally pleased with our service here. We were driving from WI to MI and got a large screw in our tire. We pulled iff in Stevensville and the next AM P&R were able to get our tire patched in about 30 min for a very affordable rate. They were friendly, courteous, and skilled. We felt so lucky to have found this great place to help us get back on the road to finish our trip. read more

Waited over 2 hours to get a few tires patched and got charged $50, make sure to make them tell you how much anything is gonna cost before they do it because this is ridiculous, most places do them for free or $10 a tire. Yikes read more

My family and I have been taking our vehicles here for 15 years or more, and they have always been fair, polite, and got the job done. The entire staff is very "small town" and very easygoing, and eager to listen to your problems. I currently live a good 60 miles from this location, but I time any car work I need around my family visits just so I can take my car to P&R. read more

Excellent service. Always polite and they take care of your problem I needed a battery for my Dad's car and they drove to purchase the battery I needed and installed it. They gave me a loaner in the meantime so I could visit my Dad. Extra special friendly service. read more

Saved us twice in one week! It was so great that there was such an extensive, quality repair station in the area. They were friendly, speedy, and made the process easy! read more

Came out to jump start my battery in a cold rainy night while at Walgreens. Came out in 30 minutes. I paid cash, would have been nice to see a discount for that as I thought $60 was very steep. However they were responsive and friendly and that's hard to argue with. read more

Very disappointed. Said they do exhaust work. Looked at car briefly, quoted me over $400 to fix. Car is a 2005. Charged me 42.50 just to look at it. Went elsewhere, no diagnostic fee, $70 to fix. read more

Set up an appointment three days in advance and explained to them my situation: I needed a wheel bearing replacement, and my only available hours were between 8 am and noon because I had to go to work after that. They said they will get it done and might take a little longer, depending on what else may need to be done. I thought "okay great". My appointment day comes, I bring the car in at 8 am, and three hours later I called and asked for an ETA and they said they hadn't even started it yet and the car wasn't in the building. They didn't sound apologetic at all and were very unprofessional with the interaction. Will never go there again read more

My sister and I got a flat tire on the side of the highway at 11 p.m. on a Sunday in the middle of a thunderstorm and extremely heavy rain. Brad came out to tow us very quickly and did a very quick turnaround of changing out the tire. We were nervous because we were outside alone on a stormy night, but the service was great and so friendly. Really appreciate the service and help. read more

My parents took their car there for years.. when I visited I took it in for them and was really surprised how fast they work and charge fairly... they even took me back home and picked me up when the car was finished.. Some things like a bulb replacement or engine analysis test they will do while you wait.. .. The manager said one tire was low that I didn't even notice and he filled it right up..The really are a good maintenance garage and can repair darn near anything that runs on wheels.. read more

My husband and I have always taken our cars to P & R and we have only had minor issues. Overall, we were pretty happy. That is until today. My son Justin who is 20 took his Mustang in to get the window fixed. He got a call from them that it was ready. So we dropped him off. He paid the bill and drove off. When he went to lower the window it made a lot of noise and he saw a bolt moving on the window. He texted me and I told him to take it back and show them. My son was really upset. He bought the Mustang with money he saved from basic training and AIT last summer. I sat in my car and watched as my son waited outside at least 20 minutes while the technician went to get the "manager". Al the owner finally came out. All I could hear was swearing out of Al's mouth. The young men he had working for him were all laughing behind him. I got out of my car and walked up to tell my son to basically cut his losses. Sometimes you get really bad service and no matter how hard you try or how upset you get they don't care. So, my son left. I watched as Al went back to his young technicians laughing about how he treated my son. I pulled up to ask if there was something we could do to fix it. I got out and heard Al still going at it so I decided to get back in my car and go home and never bring my business to him again. I'm not going to say my son handled it appropriately. He was upset. He felt like he was getting cheated. But, I was ashamed that AL a grown man behaved the way he did not only to my son a customer but he did it in front of all his young apprentices. He led by a very poor example and will never get our business again. read more
