However, from the very beginning, Summit Remodeling put me at ease with their professional and transparent approach. Their team was skilled, efficient, and communicative throughout the entire process. They provided regular updates and made sure I was informed about any changes or unexpected issues that arose. Most importantly, they were able to fix the mistakes made by my previous contractor and turn my renovation nightmare into an excellent experience. Believe me when I say - There is no perfect contractors. Construction is chaotic, messy and nerve wrecking. What you need is project managers who will align all the stressful pieces, handle it themselves, and have clear timelines. Lorraine is very efficient. She visits the jobsite almost every day. Jen is on top of every detail, and Toni always makes sure she will get back to you efficiently. It is important to have people who see minor details all the way through to completion. Most of all their prices for unexpected changes were very fair, and I really feel they do not look to take advantage of you. Yes there were bumps in the road, but during construction there will always be unexpected things that arise. But the Summit team dealt with those bumps in a professional way, and gave me fair and honest options to remediate. My project manager was Joe and I very much appreciated all the knowledge and expertise he brought to the table, and also the way he managed the different trades coming into my house. Overall, I am thrilled with the work that Summit Remodeling has done on my home, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy contractor. He arrived promptly, was very professional and courteous. We needed a total of 7 awnings and after taking some measurements he walked me through the install process and fabric options. Next day he sent over a proposal that was very fair and also had the flexibility to paint the frames black (as well as paint the existing main awning frame black). Despite having several other estimates we choose Gene based on the sense of trust he was able to instill in a short period of time. 3 weeks later job was complete, excellent service and quality and very fair and competitive pricing. They reviewed competitive quotes, and matched or bettered them. They built us a beautiful deck in three days-Amazing! They were really helpful and available throughout the whole selection process. They have a great showroom, which really helped us decide color and design (web sites do not represent colors and styles accurately. You really need to see it in person.) They are honest, hard working, and friendly. They did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. We found some issues with the foundation of our home after removing the old deck. They fixed it and didn't even charge an additional fee. There were a few things they missed at completion (like anyone would) so I emailed them a punch-list, and they completed the work in seventy-two hours. I would never think of using another deck builder. These folks made a deck teardown/build (and not a small one, I might add) a completely painless experience, which in my history, is unheard of.
