Was early to an appointment in Rogers yesterday, and decided to stop in as I has some time to kill......and let me tell you, this was a great decision. I am pretty sure this is the safest restaurant in all of Rogers, based on the number of law enforcement officers that were enjoying their breakfast. We were greeted by a very pleasant cashier (I totally should have got her name), and had an outstanding breakfast. My wife has the garlic bagel sandwich, complete with bacon and hatch green chile cream cheese. She was delighted with it. Nice place when you walk in. Full of positive messages, music playing a combination of old country and Christian. The line starts by a case showing all the flavors of bagels. On the weekends the hours are until "sold out". So the lines are constant, so they could run out before your turn. The bagels are like most very dense and bigger holes than most from my perspective. The flavors are very subtle, so the jalapeño not spicy but still good flavor. The chocolate chip also very subtle. I think they pride themselves on the cream cheese, and specifically how much they put on it. The cream cheese is also subtle flavors but incredibly soft and creamy. Was excited to come try the bagels here because the reviews looked great but I was disappointed. I got an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. First off, the bagel was barely toasted. It was slightly warm as if it was microwaved but had no color to indicate it was actually toasted. Second, I tried separating the half so I could eat it open faced (rather than like a sandwich) and all the cream cheese stuck to the other side. (This is how I saw the bagel wasn't even toasted). Lastly, I feel like the bagel itself was small because the hole in the center was big which is kind of a rip off and a lot of the everything seasoning had come off on one side so it was more like a plain bagel. Sad to say I won't be coming back here anytime soon. Not worth the money for what you get in my opinion. read more

Love OMB. 3 stars because, I don't want to bring down their rating all because of multiple bad experiences at one location but still worth noting. The location at 8th and Plate on the new Walmart campus is just awful. It's been open a year now and I always give restaurants grace when they first open to get their routine in place. I have been to that location 4 times now over the course of a year and bad experience every time. 1st was right after opening. I ordered my favorite lox and plain cream cheese on an everything bagel. Asked for lightly toasted. Grabbed my to go order and headed back to the office. The bagel was so stale and hard it was inedible. Straight to trash. 2nd time was a couple months later thinking they'd have it together by then. Went simple with just an everything bagel and plain cream cheese. Didn't check the order and after I was too far away to return I realized it was not an everything bagel. You know when you look forward to a treat and it's done wrong and the disappointment sets in? 3rd time a month or so later, same order, ask for no toasting and again toasted so hard it was uneditable. 4th and most recent time this week. Everything Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese ordered, repeated back to me, not toasted. They couldn't believe I didn't want it toasted. This was not lunch rush hour. It was after lunch and no one was there. I was the only order. When my order was ready, the lady that took my order screamed my name to the point it was just rude, as I was standing right there. Got smart this time and checked the order and it was onion and chive cream cheese instead of plain. But hey they got the bagel right this time. I showed the lady that screamed my name and she seemed put out. Not even a sorry. They remade it and someone else brought it to with a sorry not sorry attitude. Seriously good food at Ozark. The bagel variety is good and they are fresh and soft. The bagels are not super big the the flavor is. There is a variety of different cream cheeses that are also fresh and full of flavor. The breakfast/lunch choices include so local themed flavors, and they also make sandwiches with a variety of Boars Head meats. They also make salads too. The coffee is fresh brewed and only takes a minute to refill if the dispenser is empty. The coffee flavors are craft special flavors. There is a small area which they sell some apparel, too. Overall, I really enjoyed my bagel meal and would definitely return again. read more

Our family is visiting Bentonville for the weekend and walked to lunch at Ozark Mountain Bagel from the Crystal Bridges Museum and had a great experience! As someone who grew up in New Jersey and knows what a real bagel should taste like, I was hoping this would be a solid local option. Unfortunately, the bagels here just didn't hit the mark. The texture reminded me more of a dense, store-bought bagel--no fluffiness, no chew, just kind of flat all around. I could see they're made in-house, which I respect, but the end result didn't feel dialed in. Service also left something to be desired. One of the staff members was goofing off--pretending to lick a bagel while prepping it--which felt off-putting in a food setting. The person who helped me seemed kind of standoffish, like they were doing me a favor rather than welcoming a customer. I always want to support small spots, especially ones that make things from scratch, but in this case, it just didn't live up to what a great bagel experience should be. I went to Ozark Mountain bagel for the first time yesterday February 1st. ADozen bagels cost $30. They are the worst bagels I've ever tried to eat. They have no flavor. They were basically flat and today they are stale and inedible. They got my order completely wrong. 1/2 of the bagels were not what i ordered. They we're very nice and polite but who cares when the product is inedible. Maybe draw less on your boxes and bake better. Einstein Bagels for me from now on. I love Ozark Mountain Bagels so much, however, they have ruined all other bagels for me! Their bagels are so fresh and so delicious, that I am disappointed whenever I eat bagels from literally any other place! Both of their locations are clean and they also have incredibly friendly staff. They also have a great ordering system. My go-to order is a toasted chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I don't get it often, because their chocolate chip bagels go quickly! I make sure to always call before I go, so I can try and secure these amazing bagels. I recently returned to this bagel shop for their once delicious Big Pig Bagel breakfast sandwich. It was a very big let down. Thinking it was just a staff of juveniles I returned, they didn't even have bagels available. I then attempted several more times until I lucked out by arriving very early. The bagel bins were mostly empty, the bagel I received was the same size as the week or so before. It resembles a thin ring unable to contain the sandwich contents. I orders a sweet bagel, and it was also a thin ring. The bagels aren't half the size as to what they were when they first opened. Einstein Bros. Bagels have my business now. Ozark Mountain Bagels can't even keep a decent stock of what they call a bagel during their entire business hours. Apparently folks who go to Ozark Mnt Bagel aren't familiar with what a real bagel is, because honestly, I'm not sure how they manage to stay in business. I may try them again after the holidays but definitely not going to rush back to be let down again. Sad, because they had such great potential in the beginning, they are an empty shell of what once was. In fact, the Big Pig breakfast sandwich was my absolute most favorite thing for breakfast after trying it once, when they first opened shop. The sandwich was so perfect and succulent, it was even large enough to share a half or eat the other half later making two meals of it. So when I say the recent visits were an empty shell of what once was I honestly mean it. The bagels are literal thin rings, with giant center holes resembling a sickly donut. It ended up being a mess both times since they couldn't contain the sandwich filler itself. I tend to hold on to hope for small business restaurants, but seeing there are several locations now, it's understandable that they may have been bought out by someone more interested in making a fast profit than actually making a delightful, delicious product like it once was. The reason I say this because that is usually the same result in past small business buyouts, they just don't resemble the dream of the original owners and creators. I honestly hope this isn't the case, that its just a bad couple of ill timed moments my part. But consistency is a must for a restaurant like this you'd think. I honestly stopped going due to the lack of availability, I ended up calling in to see if they even had enough bagels instead of driving there and being let down with 'sorry we're out if bagels'. So eventually I turned to Einstein Bros. Bagel Co. they remain constant there. One more shot is all I'm giving Ozark Mountain Bagels on Airport Rd. Bentonville AR. After the holidays perhaps when there are less children working there. If the teenagers are making the bagels, they are failing. I only have assumptions as to why it's gone downhill. Its a sad thing honestly. Breaking fast with Ozark Mnt Bagel was once my all time favorite meal. I gave The Big Pig a nickname because after they doctored it up for me with my pick of cream cheese it was a monster of a breakfast sandwich, so succulent, savory and perfect. I call it 'The Big Ole Fat Piggy'. Is it the times, are ingredients scarce? I don't know, I'm not in the restaurant business. I am at a complete loss. One star because I was a consistent customer in their beginning, knowing what actually had been, as to what it is now. Is it just a name now, a 'cool' trend, and the customers just accept it as it is what it is? One more attempt. I look forward to being overwhelmed with joy if the next Big Pig is actually served to me as the legend it once was. Fingers crossed. No ill will intended. I just miss what Ozark Mnt Bagel once was. They've got a good thing going here! We tried their breakfast sandwiches and found them to be tasty and reasonably priced. The bagels had a perfect texture - slightly chewy, but still soft enough to eat. Our order was brought to our table almost as soon as we sat down. Plenty of drink options too, bottled, fountain and various coffees. We ended up ordering a dozen more bagels to bring home plus a bagel with lox and cream cheese (and tomatoes, onions and capers - yum!). They have a lot of delicious-sounding lunch sandwiches too with a good variety of toppings. The place was clean, modern and roomy. Great as a sit-down breakfast after a morning yoga session OR to pick up as lunch before a hike. OMB makes their bagels fresh daily and they are some of the best quality bagels I've ever had (I'm not a new yorker, but still very yummy). They also make their own spreads, and they give you a LOT which is so fun. You can always scrape off, but you're never left hungry. Me and my boyfriend love the bacon egg and cheese (many cheese options, we get cheddar) on an everything bagel. But for a more lunchy option, I really like the ODR (turkey, bacon, chive and onion cream cheese OMG). The bagels were extremely dense, overly chewy, very little to no flavor, and the cream cheese was grainy and flavorless I got a blueberry, an Asiago, and a plain with plain cream cheese and strawberry cream cheese. The plain cream cheese was just that-plain. It was grainy like the way protein powder is in a smoothie when not completely blended, and the "strawberry" was basically the plain with food coloring added to look like strawberry. I have had A LOT of bagels in my life, and these remind me of those premade pizza crusts you get at the store. The cream cheese was about an inch thick, which would have been fine IF it actually tasted good. AND IT DIDNT. They need to find new suppliers for their bagels and cream cheese. Another Yelp win! We don't have good bagels where we live, so I always scout out the local options when we travel and this place lives up to the rave reviews. We had a couple breakfast sandwiches and the kids had a bagel with peanut butter, as soon as we finished I got back in line to get a dozen to take home. The bagels were boxed up and SLICED! A small thing, but nice to be able to bag them up and put them in the freezer without having to slice them. I had an appointment in Bentonville so decided to stop in again today. This time I was a little out of sorts, frazzled from the events of the morning. I walked in at 12:20 and asked if they were closed.... Again frazzled and totally didn't think about the sign on the door.... OR the fact people were sitting eating inside ‍. The guys at the counter were super kind and just warm hearted. I ordered the gfree bagel with some yummy cream cheese, chive and onion I think. I honestly can't remember but the gentleman at the counter suggested it and I did not have the energy to think. This 5 star rating is purely for the customer service and friendliness of the staff. You seriously made my afternoon drive back to Fayetteville a bit better, not to mention the food and coffee just being the perfect lunch snack!
