Classes can be found via Eventbright and reserving a spot is super easy, not as clunky as before. I also felt that prices were reasonable. We took a mixology class with Lorna, our first class post Pandemic, and we loved it! Lorna was so much fun and easy-going. She was knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions and also provided easy to follow instructions on how to build our own cocktails (mocktails, too!). We can't wait for more classes to open up!

However, the seating is kind of weird because you're all lined up where the location should have the tables in a square around the Chef so that you can see what the chef is doing and mimic with the chef is doing instead of getting up and sitting down getting up and sitting down. So almost like a large island style shape in a square around the Chef presentation table. Hope this makes sense but there is a lot of getting up and sitting down. For the cost, you really do not get a lot of food so I would highly recommend not planning on this being your dinner I was disappointed and did not mention that we would be sitting with someone else and so if you are a germ phobic , this is definitely not for you. We made pasta and everyone at our table contributed to making the pasta with their hands, and it really made me feel uncomfortable. They provide everything for the recipes they do not offer any drinks minus water. Everything else is BYOB. This is a great experience. I recommend it just a heads up on what to expect.

I know when I see hand painted yarn anywhere, to get it right then and there. which I did. They have every type of yarn, and have quite a bit of it knitted into sweaters or shawls. They sell books and patterns. A very beautiful selection of bulky yarn, and also the new ruffled scarf yarn. (I'm about to have some fun) They have needles I've never come across like size 50 circulars. I've never even seen a size 50 needle. The shop has classes, and a wonderful staff. I forgot to buy one of their counters, that I've seen only on Etsy. What's cool about Hillcreek Yarn Shoppe is they have a great website with ordering available. This is a must see if you are in Columbia, and like yarn. It will be one I will return to. Very pleased to have a yarn shop as nice as Hillcreek.

I typically look around at all the selections; but I generally however go there for one specific yarn - Cascade 220. The yarn stores closer to my house do not offer a wide variety of colors in this yarn; and Hillcreek has just about every color or something close to what your after in it. If they don't have it, they will see if they can special order it for you or if it is something that is in their upcoming orders. The store has a monthly newsletter to let you know about events, new products, and classes that are being offered... including days for discounts such as MU Football game day deals. Another benefit that the store offers their customers is a punch card. For every $25 you spend you get a punch... and they write down the excess money should you not pull off an exact multiple of $25! Eventually, I believe you get $25 to spend at the store (I don't have my card on me right now).
