They're probably great. But if you can't do the fun colors, just tell a customer that upfront and don't lie to them. These hairstylist had no idea how to do an ombre. To clarify, the woman who did my eyebrows was an absolute doll. The owner, however, was far less than pleasant. When I explained that I had changed my mind about the drink, the man rolled his eyes and perfunctorily summoned someone else to bring the drink. What I found most odd and off putting wasn't so much that he didn't pour it himself, despite our both being exactly next to the cute little bar area. No, it was the fact that he didn't so much as smile or even acknowledge me more than to hear my request and call for the help. She doesn't try to upsell me after I mention I'm literally only comfortable with the bare minimum. No pressure to get a whole menu of treatments I don't want, and actually listens. She wipes me down with alcohol swabs to satisfy my inner germaphobe before administering my favorite poison (Botox, not actual poison, though let's be real, it kind of is). She's precise without being in a rush, presses on the injection sites to reduce any instant sting, and hasn't hit a nerve (figuratively or literally) once. Best of all? A couple weeks later, my forehead is smoother than a baby's bottom, without that frozen "NPC in a video game" look.
