We have been attending Citrus Glen since my middle child was in TK. What I have found is a school that has very dedicated, loving teachers. A school that has a principal who communicates and does in fact solve problems. Pretty sure my son's experience with bullying last year, and the fact that both the teacher and the principal responded to my concern the same day and followed up numerous times would be ample evidence that the principal does follow through. In fact, she followed up with me at the start of THIS school year to make sure nothing was amiss. As to the claims of racism in the front office. It should be noted that the front office is staffed with a diverse group of ladies. A group of ladies who work with a very, very diverse student population. I can only imagine that when they offered a wide variety of income and address verification options that they did so because they were suggestions that have helped solve a problem in the past and not because they were making "racist" assumptions. As to the comments regarding PTA. I totally understand PTA is not for everyone. But my question would be...does this person personally know the PTA parents? Have they had a conversation? Have they come to meetings? Asked questions? Do they realize that every single parent involved with PTA is a volunteer. A volunteer attempting to make the school a better place? Do they not like the 3....yes 3... field trips their student takes each year? Do they not like art? Music? School equipment? Because all of those things are facilitated through PTA support. Please, show me how any PTA parent is using the PTA for their own personal benefit. Because, as someone involved with PTA....I only see parents trying to better the school. If you don't agree with it, have a suggestion, or would like to see something change, please....have a conversation. Sound harsh? Perhaps, but putting down hard working volunteers (PTA or otherwise) really sets me off. This all said, my children attended a school that severely lacked a sense of community, school pride and cooperative principal leadership. In our 4 years at Citrus Glen I, as well as my husband, have been shown time and time again what a fantastic learning environment the school really is. This environment is the product of teachers and staff who love their job and love kids.

I think the average student debt upon graduation was a few thousand dollars? I have since been trying to convince my high school age daughter, subtly of course, that this is the college for her! I came here once to see a play that was in the black box theater. That was at night time so I didn't get to check out the campus very much. But it was really pretty at night- there are a lot of strung lights around the small streets. Makes it seem very intimate and inviting. Another time, I came during the day just to drive around and check out the various buildings/layout. I believe this site was an old state hospital? You can still see some of the old buildings versus the new ones. It all comes together really nicely I think. I came for another visit last weekend & walked around the campus with my daughter. It was a Sunday and we were looking for a non-crowded place to get outdoors, as we are trying to practice social distancing while getting some fresh air. I'm happy to say my daughter really enjoyed walking around this campus. It's really open and there's plenty of parking, plenty of visibility for sure. My review doesn't include anything about the academia of the school from personal experience, although I have read great things about it and know a few people that have gone here and enjoyed their experience (they were all gainfully employed, as well). I'm glad to have this lovely campus near us to visit and enjoy walking around. Oh, and my pup loved her walk here as well. Keeping fingered crossed that my daughter gives it a deeper look come college time!

CCI has various health care related options, all fast tracked and have both day and evening options so you can still continue to work while attending school (granted that there are enough enrollees to facilitate both options) They have caring and knowledgeable staff who are experts in their fields, and give honest insight into the field that you selected to pursue. They have externships to actual facilities where you get real world exposure and training. You get out of this what you put in, so by no means are the programs easy, but you learn a lot. There are also financial aid options available to those who qualify. Most fields of study can be completed in less than 18months. I finished the Vocational Nursing program which was about 14months of actual school, and already am receiving job offers from several sites. If you're unsure, just stop by the campus and ask for Micheal Boyd. Take a campus tour, ask as much as you can before committing.

Overall, it was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience, especially considering the amount of money I invested.

My son came to Peppermint Junction from an in home daycare to Pre-k. With Ms. Lory's loving and gentle approach, he adapted quickly and loves going to school. He is currently in T-k with Ms. Kelly and he blossomed to be communicative, thoughtful, understanding of what is being asked of him and the expectations. All teachers work incredibly well together and their number one priority is the children, ensuring they are feeling secure mentally, socially, and physically. If you ever have questions about how and why certain things are done, the teachers are more than happy to explain and work collaboratively with the parents. I can't say enough good things about the experiences I have had at Peppermint Junction and the caring staff/owner. I was hesitant as my kids have attended mostly Montessori but after a few weeks I was sure this was a great decision. To me as a parent, that says something. He enjoyed it SOOO much! Thank you to the staff who helped my child thrive. We ended up moving so we had to disenroll. But If it was up to me I'd 100% put him and my daughter back in LSM. All the activities they would do and daily pictures helped me during the height of the pandemic. I really appreciate them. I would recommend taking your children here. Plus, it was competitive when it came to the value and pricing!
