Their curriculum has a well balanced approach in terms of Mental, social, spiritual, technical learning of my child. At first my problem was finances or the cost of sending my child to A private school. But the school have support system in place. If I can bring back the time I will send all my children to Sta Clara High School Oxnard. Additionally parents, you need to monitor and be vigilant what books the public schools assigned your kids to read. The books about Anti-church, anti faith, Atheism, even Socialism are assigned to high school students. As a. Parent I believe These books are for adults and not for young minds. At SCHS , I was able to request the school teacher not to assign such books. Whereas, at Channel Island HS , they told me those Anti-church, anti- faith books are going to be read and assign to there students (your kids) as they choose. Sad news!

The teachers are invested and kind, the staff seem to be all hands on deck and were very welcoming to our family. I heard lots of opinions about the school before enrolling. some good some bad. it's a staple in the community and several generations of both sides of our families have attended. We are happy here. may just be with age but our child mellowed out and matured here, seems happier than when he was in public.

Till this day despite what happed to me I'm not racist iv served 6 yrs in the military and I turned out fine. But id never send my kid here white, black, Hispanic, asian this school is terrible. Mrs. Bryant was the most amazing Resource Teacher. She was patient, caring, and made herself available when my kids needed some extra help. Mrs. Bryant would give my girls their assignments and then look them over at our next appointment time. This school offers many Enrichment classes such as Math, Art, Music, Literature, basically for all classes. I hear now they even have Agriculture for the kids. I really liked the Enrichment classes because it gets your child out of the house for awhile and interact with other kids. I was very happy with the field trips offered each year. Science Museum, Calm, Red Rock Canyon, Camp Keep, and many more. They recently bought Carden Schools property on Brian way. It will be nice when they are finished with that. This school is K-12 and you pick your own curriculum. Also a great thing they offer is you can sign your child up for Vendor Services such as Gymnastics, Dancing, Equestrian Club to name a few. I probably enjoyed middle school cause of this school far more than during elementary. My favorite people in the early 2000s though was the librarian and an English teacher, Mrs. Ludes. The library was one of my favorite places to hang out. The teacher got hell from her students when she was the sweetest and smartest teacher I had met up to that point. She nurtured my love of literature. I wish other students had appreciated her.
