Photos don't do it justice. I traveled to Ozark from California for the Miss Rodeo USA clinic, and was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful place to stay. The inside felt clean and safe. The people working at the front desk were polite and helpful. There are no locals living in the hotel, creating a safe and worry free environment for those coming in from out of town. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family, they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. read more

None of the reviews do this hotel justice. I admit it had been a long day and I was in a bad mood. I probably was rude checking in and I certainly was rude we couldn't get a parking place. And then I opened the door to the room. It's exactly what I needed to calm down. Everything is absolutely beautifully turned out. The pictures just don't do it justice. There's a sliding glass mirror that the television is behind. We do not watch television when we go to the motels after a long day and I was curious what was behind the mirror and when I slid back there was a television. If a motel room could be Zen this would be it. Everything is comfortable. Everything is first class. The cabinetry made me feel like I was in Europe. Truly. I wasn't expecting this. read more

The hotel rooms are best described by the word "weird". There are only two hotels in town. One has local people living in it full time and the other one is this hotel. This is the better of the two hotels. The place is amazing! John looked out for us and instantly made us feel at home. The rooms are super nice. Extremely comfortable beds. The rooms are incredibly clean! We came down from driving through the scenic byway late evening looking for a place to stay. So glad we picked the Oxford Inn. The owner John is such a nice & friendly guy. The rooms have a really retro feel, but that's what makes it so cool! Nothing fancy, but have cold A/C, are super CLEAN, and comfy beds. Great clean place to stay. Rode 4 wheeler all day in Mulberry lodge area . Was great to have a nice place for restful sleep. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. The furnishings were retro ,not meaning old! They provided a nice continental breakfast that was easy to take on the trails. This is a family owned business so.you can tell they take pride in how everything looks . Highly recommend staying here if you're on the river or riding the trails . We ended up staying 2 nights because it was the closest to everything and clean. read more

*So some of these other reviews are talking about the management and the owner and the employees which are a non-factor, it's under new management and it's a guy, his wife, and daughter who run it and take care of it. Anyway, the rooms are clean, squared away and you are pleased when you open the door to see that you get what you pay for. John, who I believe owns it, mans the desk and he is super friendly. He will give you great advice on where to grab a bite, will invite you back, and will ask how your stay was---while actually making you feel like he cares. On the way into town, we saw signs for $39.95 a night. When we asked the gentleman at the front counter about the price, he clarified that it was for the motel at the bottom of the hill. (How appropriate). Went on to the place just down the hill. Even though they had barely any rooms occupied, the $39.95 certainly wasn't available. Felt a little evasive, not to mention that the office smelled bad. Even while standing there, a customer asked for additional towels to which the man at the counter reminded him the room already had plenty of towels! Yikes! But this review is about the Oxford. We returned to the Oxford and the gentleman at THAT counter was very kind, friendly, very helpful, and actually seemed to value our business. Go figure. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Everything worked. Just remember to make sure you don't get the room right under the stairs to the upper level. He offered a different room, but I wanted one so I could look out and see my motorcycle was OK. My fault on that one. Will stay there every time I ride the Pig Trail (which by the way was beautiful). Horrible experience. Two colleagues and I had work in Ozark, our company booked for us. We stayed three days in three rooms. We were the only guests. One the last day we checked out in the AM, no one was in the office. We left one of the cars to do a site visit came back at 2pm. The car was towed. At first we thought it was stolen, the hotel owner first denied any knowledge, then blamed is maintenance man, then did it wasn't a safe town to keep cars. Then pretended not to know the towing company. Then started screaming like a madman and we had to call the police for help. The wrecker service said the owner had called at 11pm said the car was abandoned and was there while he towed. Then as I wrote lied about it before screaming it was his place and he could do as he pleased. Police were astounded by the owners actions. Wrecker driver said the place was sketchy read more

The worst inn I have ever stayed at. Maybe 10 years ago this was " a nice place to stay" but no more. The building is falling apart, the rooms have putrid odors, the toilet had problems flushing and the shower had no water pressure. The pool looks like it hasn't had water in it in years. Oh and did I mention there were fleas!! Also pretty sure there were love stains on the blanket. They did have a microwave and fridge. I'd rather sleep in my car then stay there again. read more

I am from Ozark and moved away to college in 1999. Over the years I have visited family lots of times and always rile my eyes know the choices of hotels in Ozark are not really the best. May 30, 2019 my wife and I came into town for a visit. She had never been to Ozark and I cautioned her about what to expect out of Ozark hotel accommodations. How wrong I was!!!!! The Oxford Inn, now under new management, was nothing short of spectacular. John the owner and his lovely daughter checked us in. They were polite, professional, personable and quick. We got our key card and when we opened the door I was blown away. This is NOT the Oxford Inn from the old days but instead modern and clean. Everything has been redone. The beds were amazingly soft, the paint looked great, flat screen TVs and the WiFi was fast. As an added bonus, the price is very reasonable. A nightmare experience! Stayed in Ozark at the Oxford Inn with a colleague on business for 3 days. There was no one in the office when we checked out well before our 11 o'clock check out time, but left my car in the motel parking lot for a few hours while my colleague and I did some final details on our project. When we returned my car was missing and immediately thought it got stolen. When we called the front desk they had no idea what happened to my car. Lying again, they told us it was their maintenance man who thought it was abandoned and had it towed. We got into a big fight and had to call the police when the owner became so unhinged when I demanded he return my car. We were the only people staying in the hotel. We later found out the owner had called the tow company right at 11:00. I am still very upset and have no idea why they would treat there guests like they did. I'm still in shock and do not understand their motive. We were quiet, left our rooms neat and were there for 3 days. They had all our information. I understand about check out times and packed up my car in advance thinking there would be no problem for a paying guest to have my car in their parking lot for a few more hours after checkout. We got stuck paying the tow fee. Again, what was their motive. read more
