I actually struggled a bit for how many stars to rate this experience. (The staff pushed it from a…read more4 to a 5) We were only here for the night so our exploration of the facilities were limited. 5 STARS for the customer service we received. -Jimee at the front desk was very pleasant & made the check in process quick and easy. She was friendly & seemed genuinely interested in helping us with whatever we might need. - Cathy in the dining room served us breakfast with a smile. (We've been to about a dozen hotels this year & this is the ONLY one to be cautious enough to have someone serving the hot foods. I appreciate the extra consideration) She explained the serving process thoroughly & was incredibly kind. She was a sweet soul who was really easy to talk with, made sure we got everything we needed and was encouraging about our journey. (She's the main reason I'm writing a review ) 4 STARS for the actual room The beds are VERY comfortable, everything is clean & tidy, and with an ease of use. Parking was right outside the room which made for easy loading & unloading especially since we were traveling with our two dogs. We were able to get them right onto the room without disturbing anyone else. The room has a TV and fridge that we'd have used had we stayed longer. 3 STARS for the smell of the room I think it's the humidity in this state that makes everything smell stale & like mildew. We're from Arizona where everything is DRY as a bone. But the smell when we first came in was very unpleasant. We used air freshener and turned the A/C on and that seemed to help (or we just grew accustomed to the smell who knows) Anyway...nice place, good rates, easy booking, friendly staff...

The staff are the nicest people we have encountered this whole trip. The breakfast was the best we've had also. Biscuits, gravy, sausage...not the nasty little omelets we've been eating at the Hampton Inn. The rooms are nice and big, the bed was good. Definitely would try and make it to this point if you can.

In 1998 I stayed in the last open business in a ghost town in north Texas. There had been an…read moreactual murder and they had not cleaned the carpet. This was comparably bad. I keep bouncing back and forth from laughing at how over the top it is to being angry at how ashamed the owners should be.

We got a flat tire and had no spare, and had to get towed to Clarksville. Thankfully the place we…read moregot towed to had a motel right next door. We were expecting the price to be something like 35-40 a night for something like this, but we paid as much as we did at much, much nicer places along our 3k miles covered so far this trip. The owners were super sweet when we checked in and checked out, and gave us a cute little welcoming goodie bag. Very nice people, nothing to complain about there. We had a room with 3 beds in it, and none of the sheets, boxsprings or mattresses were stainless. There was hair everywhere, long, dark and short curly all in the blankets. One did have blood from what looked like a bloody nose. But, we wrapped our pillows in tshirts and slept alright with the nasty AC unit blowing who knows what at us. There was a door in the closet that latched, and when we opened it to see what it was, we were both shocked that a body didn't fall out at us. I was watching this awesome storm out the window a little bit ago, and I put my feet down next to the bed under the window, and my feet got soaked. 'Spose the towel on the windowsill should have warned me, but I haven't had my coffee yet! Waking up with a thunder/lightening storm happening was pretty sweet, though, and it was better than sleeping in the car. Oh, and as for what the manager said to the other guy who reviewed, "What do you expect for 45 dollars?" You can get a room at the Luxor in Las Vegas for that, so you'd better think twice when you say stuff like that. Either match your prices to the quality, or step up the quality of this place.
