For the fashion body with a travellers heart. Rocket is tucked away but bursting at the seams…read more Woolie hats, rucksacks, body bars and strappy tops! Plus novelty gift ideas, and they even provide the birthday cards! Worth popping into, if not just for the jewellery, which is reminiscent of Reading Festival. A mini wonderland, just a shame it's not bigger!
This is a really unusual little shop, which sells fashion and gifts. You can find some really…read moreinteresting items in there and it is always nice to have a wander around. Their goods are quite reasonably priced and the staff are really friendly. It is a mix between a gadget shop and a high street fashion shop.
Ah The Galleria, a staple of my miss-spent youth. The shops here are average to pretty rubbish…read more(though they do have a massive Waterstones) and you'll only get one or two of the big name high street places. I never really went shopping here because, while it has a fair number of shops, it never really has anything that you want or need. Guess that could be just me. The cinema is where I spent most of my days, chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool and watching some films after school. The cinema is average price with student discount and with your standard of sugary rubbish to enjoy while watching a film. The cinema screens themselves are good, the Digital screen is awesome, but the chairs and leg room leave something to be desired. It can get quite uncomfortable if you're a tall and are in a packed screening, but this rarely happens here, which is a other bonus. All in all a good place to while a way a fair number of hours with friends or that special someone.
I had seen the Galleria so many times from the road, passing under it, and been curious. Was really…read morelooking forward to visiting it but it is a souless place. Although it looks huge it takes hardly any time to go around and has nothing to recommend it in the way of differnt shops. They are the same as any high street. A large open area in the centre was laid out as a furniture vendoes. The stuff was ugly..even tasteless..and overpriced. Quite a few restaurants..untried but mostly the usual chains. The only saving grace, for me, was a pleasant cinema complex where we went to see Stardust. So much anticipation..such a disappointment.

St. Albans best kept secret…read more Slinky tops, sexy dresses, fab coats and beautiful jewellery. Clothes displayed on white rails with glass tops, with the jewellery displayed on top. Beautiful and pristine. Spotted sexy black dresses, sultry knee high boots and sophisticated trendy macs. The jewellery is wide ranging with lots of silver and precious stones. Perfect place to by a gift, the hard part is not keeping it for youself.

http://www.maltingsshoppingcentre.co.uk/…read more Not a bad sized shopping centre and and it has very good branches of Topshop (2 floors!) and New Look. There is also an H&M, River Island and a Jane Norman. There is also a TK Maxx there but I tend to find this pretty messy and not very clearly laid out. Unfortunately, there is no late night here so the shops never open past 5.30pm. The shopping centre, however, does open on Sundays from 11am until 5pm.
Truly awful store that always looks like it's just recovered from a stampede…read more Everything is a mess and I find the whole TK Maxx shopping experience as unorganized, dirty and confusing. Shopping at peak times requires an arsenal (or a pram) to get around in one piece.

The shoe range I find to be particularly good in this shop and they always have a good range to choose from in all different sizes. I like how the clothes are arranged into different sections and according to size, it makes browsing much easier! My only complaint is the lack of fitting rooms. They aren't usually too busy but they could definitely do with some more Women's ones.

I loved that everything was put in paper bags, not plastic. I read that the market has been around since the 9th century, which I loved knowing. A short walk down the hill brings you to beautiful neighborhoods with cobblestone roads and the huge cathedral. It's a lovely area overall.

You can find everything from brilliant pies (Raven's Den in particular), awesome cheese (Lincolnshire Poacher and others), fresh veggies (Earthworks and others), fresh fish and meats... not to mention cupcakes and other sweet treats! We usually start by getting a coffee for the husband from the vendor with the mobile coffee bar (the machine is in the back of his van), and then wander the markets and end at the Merchant for a cup of tea for me. As long as there is a rainbow biscuit on the way even our toddler is happy.
