Claire's is an American chain, that since coming to the UK has been wildly popular, probably because it provides lots of lovely things at pocket money prices, perfect for the tweens. That said, they hadn't invented tween when I was that age, and I like to nip in and pick up necessities at much lower prices than most places, and often find myself transfixed by the lovely sparkly things on display.

The quality of the clothes are the types you would find in a very inexpensive boutique, somewhere between more pricey market stall wear, and designer clothes ( not high end, but also not the same thing in every high street shop. Expect lots of lace, satin, vibrant and slinky colours and fabrics, glitter and diamanté, and all the new trends like volume, bubble hems, etc. The only danger her is that you may be in danger of looking, en masse, like Girls Aloud. To my surprise received a text today saying the work had been carried out. No call. No quote. We went into the shop and the owner was extremely rude saying well it's engraved and this is the price. The level of arrogance and rudeness was staggering. Will never use this shop again. Also overheard another couple complaining about service in the shop.
