Atlantic Village is a discount shopping centre on the outskirts of Bideford. There are various…read moreshops including Cadburys, Whittards of Chelsea and Pilot. My favourite shop is the bookshop which sells everything from childrens books to cookery books and also stationery items, photo albums etc. There are several things for children including a small indoor soft play area and an outside wooden pirate's ship. Unfortunately you have to pay for this which I think is a shame. There are a couple of places to eat but I find it too expensive and would rather pop over to the nearby Asda. I would say Atlantic Village is somewhere to go on a rainy day if you've run out of things to do. I'm hoping some bigger names will take advantage of the many empty shops available.

It sells mens and ladies clothing, underwear and pyjamas, gifts, kitchenware, bedding, knitting and sewing accessories plus material. The clothng in my opinion is for the older generation part from some of the underwear of which they stock an excellent range of makes. Most things tend to be a bit expensive but you can find a good bargain as they often have special offers through out the store.

You can put in a prescription (via the box in the medical centre) a full two weeks in advance of when it is needed, and then find it is not ready, or incomplete, when you call to pick it up. Overall impression is of cramped premises, with staff who are seriously overworked.

It does however have a small selection of cosmetics including No7, a few The Sanctuary items and the usual smellies and toiletries. If you're after anything specific though its best kept in mind that they may not stock that particular item. However, if you are just after basic items its an ideal shop to quickly pop in. They also deal with prescriptions and have a wide range of medicines both behind the counter and the usual paracetomals, lemsips etc on the shelves.

They have a great range of second hand books for all people and I nearly always see a book I like when I pop in. They also normally have some nice childrens clothing in excellent condition. Their own gifts include toys and this range increases over the christmas period - and its all very reasonably priced. I've really liked some of the items they have brought out in pink to support breast cancer like pink rubber ducks! The staff are friendly and helpful and do a great job at voluteering!

this branch of poundstretcher is a bit like a tardis, it doesnt look much from the outside, but it…read moredoes stretch back quite some way. it is found at the upper end of the high street which is convenient. stock consists of housewares, gardening products, toys and gifts, soft furnishings and some clothing. the prices are very competitive within the town so you can always find a bargain here. one gripe i do have though is the checkout system, most of the time there is only 1 cashier so isnt very quick.
