I had one package there for a day and no one could seem to find it of the 6 staff behind the desk. When I asked for new linen and towels after 4 days I was a charged over 50 BPS! This place is a ripoff. Even after leaving was never really sure what all the people behind the front desk actually DID. Lol.

The aspect of apartment is in the size of the accommodations. From what I remember from way back when, our room was comfy, and we were able to move around without bumping into one another, as is the problem with some European hotels that don't cost a king's ransom. Speed up almost 15 years later and 130 has had a beautiful face lift. Furnishings all around are new and the place feels fresh, but still holds onto its British flair. Came here to celebrate a friends 30th and we wanted something relaxing, close to as much as everything as possible and in a safe location - which 130 is! It's still pricey, but for London, we received a lot for a good price. It was nice being back to a place I enjoyed as a kid, only to find it better!

Presidential Marylebone Apartments are in the heart of London and we stay here whenever we need a shopping fix at Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Covent Garden. Nightout and theatre night plans are always so successful staying here as it is so close to Soho, Central London, and the River Thames. The apartments are beautiful and spacious, no matter which one you choose, studio or one-bedroom. All the facilities are on your disposal - full kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc., fast inetrnet, TV with Sky and freeview. Also there are DVD players and DVD to borrow if you are tired of roaming in London and want a nice night-in with friends. The staff is great and knows how to treat their returning guests and go beyond rules and comfort to give them the best possible stay. It is a perfect location and place to stay in London! I do not think twice before recommending this to anyone!

Apparently, it is not unusual for booking.com to reverse your name when submitting hotel…read morereservations. On my profile, on the app, it has my first name followed by my last name. But, when trying to locate my reservation in Atlantic City, NJ - the hotel could not find me by my last name. The same thing happened with my reservation (also made throughbooking.com) in Richmond VA the following day. Only there - thankfully, the desk clerk knew to look for my name reversed. When unable to find my reservation by my last name, she asked if I had used booking.com. When I said yes she replied "ahhh yes - they often mess the names up." She then promptly found me by using my first name as my last. Booking.com also messed up the dates for last weekend's reservation in Atlantic NJ, so without my calling them and spending literally an hour on the phone - I was facing the possibility the hotel could charge me a second time despite my paying for last weekend's NON stay. Of course, booking.com, despite acknowledging they have my name incorrect claimed it was the hotel's fault and that the hotel "is lying about not finding me in the system". However, I can say that the booking.com agent was very patient and helpful even though it took an hour to resolve this. True to his promise - he was able to cancel the reservation without my incurring yet another no show fee... (Ironic to be charged a no show fee for a reservation that could not be found) Though my finger is hovering over the app with the intention to delete it - I MIGHT give them a second shot. IF I do - I'll be double checking the dates over, and over, as well as asking to have my reservation looked for with both my first and last name as my last name. I also will NOT accept any specials that do not allow for free cancelations as, if not for that, I could have easily canceled the incorrect reservation made erroneously by booking.com w/o a 59 minute conversation with Mohamed in Egypt. Booking.com had this one room available, exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. The beds were the cheapest beds I have ever had anywhere....and I travel a lot for both business and personal. I could feel and trace the springs with my finger. The sheets were cheap too and made all of us sweaty and we couldn't adjust the temperature. I had to sleep on the couch every night to get any sleep so I could get any sleep. There is no personal touches such as local recommendations. Also, read the fine print before signing. They would not allow us to cancel 1 week after booking without charging 50% and this was 5 months in advance of the stay. They are a strict and impersonal company. We will not be using this company ever again.

My wife and I booked a property with the Luxury Travel Book back in 2021 for our honeymoon, in…read morePositano on the Amalfi Coast. Because of Covid, we made sure there was a clause in our contract that allowed us to cancel our booking if we felt that any restrictions associated with Covid would prevent us from being able to enjoy our travel. We made it very clear in the days leading up to when we had to make a decision where we stood on this. On July 20, 2021 we notified the Luxury Travel Book that we wanted to cancel our trip, which was scheduled for the 2nd half of September, so well within the 14 day cancellation window. At that time, there were numerous covid restrictions in place, including the requirement to wear a mask in all public places, including outdoors, as well as mandatory covid testing to enter and exit the country. The clause in the contract specific to this stated precisely: 7.4 COVID cancellation policy - if there are travel restrictions related to Covid-19 implemented, the cancellation will be possible up to 14 days before arrival with the funds refunded to you. We interpreted this to mean any covid related travel restrictions and felt confident in our interpretation. But when we asked for cancellation, the Luxury Travel Book informed us that it was explicit that it could only be invoked if the restriction was such that we could not travel at all, meaning a complete travel ban. We were quite incredulous to this interpretation and pushed back. If it was that explicit, we felt that it should have stated as such. Just that the contract said "travel restrictions", to us, clearly implies that there are multiple possible restrictions that could be invoked here. We had no desire/intention of spending our honeymoon wearing a mask in all public places, including outdoors, in the heat of the Summertime, and risking the possibility of a positive covid test that could result in having to quarantine. Despite all of our arguments, the Luxury Travel Book refused to provide a refund, which was about 2,100 euros or roughly $2,500 in US dollars based upon the exchange rate at the time. They did eventually agree to extend us a credit for the deposit to be used for future travel and then provided an extension on that credit through the end of 2024, upon which time it will expire. We repeatedly tried to find a way to use the credit over the past couple of years, but every time we tried, we were told that the various options we were interested in would cost significantly more than the credit and the only way it could be used was for us to provide additional money, which felt like just throwing good money after bad. Their responses were always courteous and without delay, but in the end, it all just felt very performative, if, in the end, the only way to use the credit required additional cash outlay. We ended up taking a trip to Positano for our delayed honeymoon in 2022 and tried then to use the credit, but again, all of the options required a significant additional expense. We found a wonderful luxury AirBnb in Positano at a fraction of the price that the Luxury Travel Book offered, with all the protections we needed to ensure this wouldn't happen to us again. Then, again, in 2023, we took another trip to Italy and wanted to rent a large villa in Tuscany for us and our kids. This time we found a luxury 5 bedroom 5 bath villa in the Tuscan countryside on VRBO with a swimming pool and everything we could possibly need for less than half the cost of anything comparable available on the luxury travel book. So again, had we used the credit from the luxury travel book, we'd still have spent more additional funds then the total amount we spent on the VRBO villa with all the protections we needed to avoid any further problems with the booking. And now, with the credit about to expire, we'd accepted that we probably couldn't use it, but tried to see if one of our kids could use a $2,000+ credit for a few nights in a 1 bedroom apartment in New York and again, we were told that the cheapest option would be over $3,000 to make this happen. In the end, we learned our lesson. We will never book a luxury property on any site other than AirBnb or VRBO. Both of those companies stand behind their reputations and their protections for their customers and they also have far wider selections and far better prices too. Oh well, you live and learn. I just hope this keeps someone else from making the same mistake that we make.

Grant, one of the two people running this organisation, was very very helpful and nice. The accommodation was of the highest standard, with a fully-fitted kitched and bathroom. I really enjoyed staying there and it had a garden. Prices are reasonable and you are much better off staying in one of these apartments than a hotel. Wifi was included for us and no problems with anything! TOP NOTCH!
