The reasonable prices reflect the agedness of the property, but not the amenities, the view/location, or the friendly helpfulness of the front desk, so it's quite a value. The reservation date for this camp said "6-29-6-30" so they were not even paid up for the day they eere inhabiting the site. When i knocked on the managers door to simply ask what exactly was going on he immediately gave me attitude and a bs excuse. Proveeded to hand me my belongings he had rolled up behind his trailer and told us to have a nive day. Appatently cannot even camp in my ho e state anymore becauze these voluntaty workers make the rules and dictate them hpwrver tjey please. Sadc

On the website this hotel said it is got Disability access nowhere did it indicate that they had no…read moreelevator and you had to go 15 stairs to get into a room but to room for my sister-in-law she's in a wheelchair they got there she had been put on the 2nd floor absolutely no way to get in we asked for a refund and the front desk person claimed that they had successfully checked in and had gone and checked the room they never successfully checked in they never accepted a key to the room he tried to claim that they went into the room and therefore he could not rent it out We tried getting a refund through where we booked it they were denied also the guy at the front desk is a liar and then try to put it back on us saying if we wanted we'll chair accessible room we should have called them 1st I will never recommend this to anybody we ask for copies of the hotel security footage and the card access to the room as proof because he stated they've gone into the room instead he just denied the refund to the booking company I will never deal with somebody who is a liar and I will never recommend this hotel to anybody we found a much better hotel With truly wheelchair accessible rooms.

Just got back from our coastal roadtrip. We enjoyed our stay in Cape Perpetua campground. I'd done…read moremy homework looking for a good spot on the coast and I chose wisely! The campground is essentially one road in with the camping area lining the right side. The tent only spots are first come first serve and are definitely the choicest. Because we were traveling from Utah I wanted to make sure we would have a guaranteed site so I reserved an RV spot. It was in the grass right next to the road, not secluded like the tent only sites. The campers next to us had switched sites when the arrived but we got in late at night and didn't want to re-set up camp the next day. But, there weren't that many sites total and we were towards the end of the road so noise wasn't a problem, in fact it was VERY quiet. The only thing I missed was showers but the camp host told us we could go 9 miles down the road to Washburne Campground and shower there for $2. The campground is close to some awesome sights! We were fortunate to be there at super-low tide and had fun clamming with the locals early in the morning. The tide pools were spectacular! We saw anemone, urchins, starfish, all sorts of shellfish, crabs and jellyfish. We got up close to Thor's Well and were mesmerized by the tide moving in to Devil's Churn. The rangers at the visitors center were nice and helpful. My husband thought the Sea Lion Cave sounded cool so we went down there to check it out. Yes, it was impressive but, in my opinion, not worth the $14 per person admission. The only thing that redeemed it was that there happened to be 4 gray whales hanging out just south of the lookout and we watched them for 2 hours! We only spent about 10 minutes looking at the sea cave. I had fun checking out the flea market shops in Waldport- if you like this sort of thing, you'll have a ball! Great vintage stuff, I dragged my husband through the store for over an hour.

There are no showers, so be aware. They have such nice, large bathrooms, that they could add a shower stall without any issues. We have a small (21 foot) Travel Trailer that fit in our spot nicely. No hookups so we used our generator. The stream was running fairly strong (May) and it really kept all the road noise away. I will definitely go here again.

Kathy and her husband own and operate the cottages and they do a great job. We've stayed at several of the cottages now, and at the time each felt like our favorite. With no cell service we walked up the road to the nearest house which happened to be the Ocean Haven Inn. The couple that owns this place are some of the most generous people we ever could've come across. They allowed us to use they're wifi in order to call Triple A for a tow truck and on top of that, allowed us to sit on their wonderful deck that overlooks the Pacific Ocean while we waited. They constantly checked on us to make sure everything was ok and they offered us everything from water, to these delicious little chocolate bars. We didn't get to sample the rooms, but the owners were so kind hearted that I'm sure staying here would've been very lovely. Thanks again for all of the hospitality! Next time we drive through we'll have to make it a point to stay here!
