We walked in without a reservation, but I would recommend making one if you want better seating options. It was raining during our visit, but we were still able to enjoy dining indoors. Out waiter was friendly, answered all of our questions, and gave us some great recommendations. Now for the food, everything came out hot which is always a plus. The wings were small however the sauce was tasty! We tried to figure out what sauce they use lol they said it was restaurant made. They were out of a few menu items, which was a little disappointing but thankfully the food we did order made up for it. The homemade mashed potatoes were a highlight and carrots were well seasoned and full of flavor. My partner had great things to say about the pork chop as well. The lemon drop was another win for me! It didn't have an overpowering lemon flavor and I would definitely order it again. One thing to keep in mind is that they offer a seasonal menu so some items may not always be available depending on when you visit. Overall we enjoyed the ambience, service and food.

The crab cakes were okay, not as flavorful as I had them before, but the fingerlings were tasteful, the shrimp had a good grilled flavor, I ordered an $8 side of shrimp and received six pieces, which I thought was a little odd for a side order, my drink was nice and strong. Unfortunately, my wifes salmon was completely burnt on the bottom which was disappointing. Our food had already taken so long to come out that by that point, we didn't even want to wait around to have the issue addressed or the salmon remade. My wifes drink was also very syrupy and overly sweet, we addressed this with the bartender and she said she could add another shot for $8, we kindly declined and she took it off our bill which was nice. The service from the bartender was good, our food just took way too long and then we spent all that time waiting only for the meal itself to be mediocre. The views and atmosphere are still great, but the food experience this time around definitely fell short.

I liked that they have a lunch menu, which includes a sandwich, side, and non alcoholic beverage for $10. My choice was the ECU smash burger, which included two patties, chili, slaw, and mustard. While waiting, I noticed two local things - the stage for the ECU Pirate Radio show, which airs live at this location on Mondays, and just a few tables away from me WNCT's Sportscaster legend Brian Bailey! The wait wasn't long, and the burger was delicious. I enjoyed the fries and dipping them in ranch sauce. Very pleasant experience.
