So many vehicles and weapons and ammo (I've seen what I thought were great weapons displays in Dierkirch, Luxembourg but here the displays are broken down into German army and navy ordnances, fuses, timers and even storage, and carrying cases) and etc. The collection is unbelievable in terms of scope. The focus here is D-day, Operation Market Garden, and Battle for Overloon. Only problem, withou a car, you are forced to spend some time in the area even though there is a bus service for the towns in the area. The Nijmegen train stops far outside of town at Vierlingsbeek. An excellent exhibit is devoted to the German Fallschrimjagers in the Crete, and Monte Cassino campaigns. Also, much space is devoted to the German occupation of the Netherlands and also the resistance against the governing forces. I cannot say enough about the collection, the placards are in 4 languages (English included) so you should be able to understand some of the info. 15 euros upon entrance which I thought is worth every bit. SEE this museum, it is worth all the effort and investment in your time. Outside are two bridge set ups, one a Bailey. Very cool. read more
