Great showroom gives you a chance to mix and match ideas and prices. Installation was scheduled within days. Tech showed up on-time in a spring blizzard and completed everything quickly. Completely cleaned up work site... gave full demo of gear... tested safety features. Follow-up phone call confirmed our satisfaction. Billing was super easy. Prices were very reasonable. Our new door should last 25 years... otherwise I'd be a return customer.

In the past (going back several years) I've had nothing but excellent service from this company…read more But recently one of my garage doors was damaged when a landscaper's truck backed up into it. I called Ed's and they told me they could come out to look at it, but because my home is now outside their service area (it wasn't when they installed and serviced my doors and openers in the past) there would be a travel charge of $75. I agreed and a technician was dispatched to my home to evaluate the damage. I was also charged for an hour of labor (about another $175). I was told someone would get back to me with a repair estimate but weeks went by without a response. I contacted them and I was told they would get back to me. I've waited nearly two months now and still never got a response. At the very least they could have just told me to go elsewhere for service, but instead kept me hanging. This is NOT the same company I've dealt with in the past.

Kevin even was able to match the previous owner with the house. Frankly, I'm pretty picky when it comes to someone coming to my house to do work(who isn't?). I'll typically shop around and price match. In this case I didn't because I felt so comfortable with Kevin's knowledge/experience. He installed the doors that same day and I came home to new doors. Based on the little research I did on buying/installing on my own, I'd say we got a good deal. Also, it appeared Kevin through in some extras based on the price and the end result. As for the work, I was more than happy with the choices he gave me and the quality job they did. We replaced the doors, sensors and some of the old springs. He also helped me re-code some of the old remotes hanging around. This company has been in business for 20+ years for a reason and I'm sure I'll be recommending him to anyone who needs garage doors.
