A&E gave me a fair bid and met my budget . They finished the project in a timely manner and didn't have any surprises or hidden fees. Jesse B. is right on the job making sure everything gets done properly. This is the way it should be and exactly opposite the experience I had with another local contractor who was a complete screw-up yet had a good reputation due to his dad Greg running the company the first 15 years (I'm not a big Yelper and don't know what is allowed so I'm not mentioning the name of this horror-story of a company). The work is meticulous, and the house looks amazing in time for Christmas. I couldn't have asked for a better couple to work with. Chris and Kim are just wonderful. Very nice, very professional and very efficient. I can't stress enough just how precise and meticulous the work was. As an added bonus, Kim helped me pick colors and make design choices that really made my home look the way I wanted. They have a really good eye. They patched several holes and dings in the walls and fixed some chewed up trim from dog damage. Now I want to get the upstairs painted! In terms of communication, they were excellent. Very prompt reply (we're talking a matter of hours after I first reached out to them). Any decisions made during the project were quick. They were always reachable by phone. There were several annoying little problems that they also addressed in the course of the job (broken light switch, busted knob). They fixed everything they encountered which was a real relief to me. I can't say enough. Extremely happy with the quality of work as well as the speed! Will definitely hire them again!

I waited 10 months after the job was completed to write this review, but I wasn't planning on…read morewriting it either. Rod Ladman's install was done in January 2017, it is now almost December 2017. Why I waited so long? Because I rarely write reviews. I read them a lot but I don't have time and frankly interest to write them, there's enough people out there willing to do that... I used to own and manage a successful small business chain for 28 years. I'm picky, very picky, and in this often fake world of promises (advertising $$...) the truly good people MUST be rewarded. That's why I'm writing this review. We had Rod design and install powered shades on 13 windows and doors of ours overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee. Some of them were panoramic as big as 13 x 9 ft, some as short as 12 inch window transoms. He opted to do programmable remote controls, see-through 95% UV protective views, the whole 9 yards, something which in NO WAY I COULD DO MYSELF and I had thought of my handyman skills quite highly with 30+ years of doing a lot of installations myself. The outcome of what Rod did not just surprised me and my wife it but took our breath away. Again, we are picky... Rod Ladman's DESIGN: 10 out of 10 (he talked to us in depth to understand what we wanted). A thoughtful man, detailed. He brought up all the technicalities and real life consequences. Wow. PRODUCT QUALITY: the shades are 21st century. Stunning. And probably forever as far as durability. Extremely sturdy, UV resistant and well made. SUPPORT: I just had an issue with a battery of one of the 13 units, almost a year later. Rod's associate called me and said that they're coming to replace the entire motor/battery module. At no charge. I highly and unequivocally recommend Rod Ladman's Window Design to anyone who wants their windows or awnings to be awesome, elegant and 21 century, and I don't say it lightly. Rod doesn't know I'm writing this, he never asked me to. Great guy, great product, great service. Great company. I highly recommend him and his staff over any competition in NH. Roman L.
