It's…read morebeen two years trying to get him to come out to fix the issues and they would not even answer my messages. It was not a a professional instal and I have had so many issues with the door. I got what was supposed to be quality door and quality instal. The windows on the door frame is warping and the color has faded, windows are loose! Weatherstripping was not cut professionally and two inches too short at the bottom letting in cold in my garage when the whole point of changing my garage door was to get an insulated quality door to keep the garage warmer, I have had worse issue than my older door that was in good condition and at least operating properly! The worst issue with this new door Edison Canizares installed is that the door is crooked, not installed properly... for example one side of the door presses so hard on the ground while the other side, barely touches the ground and I have called a few other repair man and they do not want to touch somebody else's work and keep telling me to call my installer, or take him to small camclaims court, becausehownhebleft the door is unacceptable! When you look at the top of the door, there's a good 1 inch difference and height and it's not a frame issue. The frame has been checked and it is even it's the door that's off! He refuses to come out and fix it and install proper weather striping. The door was also installed with scratches and I have been waiting for over two years for him to drop off paint like he promised to do touchups on the door. Being the trustworthy person that I am, I paid him in full and failed to even inspect the door properly prior to him leaving. He came across as a very nice person and I trusted him, but he obviously was fake because what he did was very unkind to leave me like this for over two years! If you like to see the door for yourself before hiring this company, feel free to reach out (on face book where I left the same review on their page) and I will give you my address to come see it! It takes me a lot to leave bad reviews for companies and I even begged them to come fix the door issues because I didn't want to leave a bad review! They didn't even answer me! Having said all that I am hoping this will save someone the headache that they put me through and the disappointment because I saved for years for my new garage door! Edison came back and removed window panels and had new improved windows installed at factory. A year later all the door trim started to discolour. Edison said factory is having issues with dark colour plastic trim. He suggested I use a blow dryer to get the colour to come back. These people know about the product flaws with cracking and fading plastic but continue to use this product. I've tried having my faded trim replaced but they are not returning my texts or calls. Warning, do not use this company they are unprofessional and once they have your money they don't care.

Update. WGD finally called and said they had new door skins in and want to schedule replacement. I…read morewas shocked and said I didn't think I would hear back from them. It has been 4 months since a technician came by to take pictures of our issues and we have not heard anything since. They are easy and fun to purchase from. Maybe this is a one off situation but the follow up to installation issues or manufacturer defects needs more attention. Still love our garage door and feel it was worth the money invested.

My tenant was having problems with garage door kept opening on its own. I live two hours away so I…read moretried calling a couple of businesses and was able to reach someone at Garage Door Repair. Unfortunately I couldn't get anyone that night, but booked appointment for a technician the next day. The technician was over 90 mins late with no phone call to advise of the delay, he came in looked at the garage for one minute and said the opener is old and needs replacing. I already knew that, I didn't need to pay a technician to tell me that. What I wanted was a technician to come in and have a look at the garage door to see if there was a reason the door was opening on its own and not staying closed even though the opener was unplugged at the time. I never received a phone call from the technician on site to discuss what he saw or my situation as I wasn't there and had left a phone number for him to call with details once he viewed it. Instead I received a phone call from the office stating my garage door opener was old, again I knew that. I advised them he was barely there a minute and didn't look at the door or discuss my concerns. I need a new garage opener and I will be replacing the garage door, I will not be returning to this company.

The technician came and proceeded to up sell to my wife by offering 3 options. a) A new garage door and system. b) repairs to the bottom panels. c) repair the cables. My wife called me. I told the guy just repair the cables. He then said because of the condition of the garage door, he could not provide a warranty. When I got home from work, I went to inspect the garage door. I was surprised a new spring was installed (it wasn't broken that morning, suspicious, it was replaced just 3 years ago). One cable was replaced. I called the company the next day to complain about his technician, I suspected a subcontractor, he left his invoice with with another company name, Locksmith Services. I told the company I was overcharged because my neighbour just repaired his garage door, same issue as I had for half the price. It appears they haven't changed and are still using the same tactics. I haven't heard from them so I will post and warn my neighborhood thru social media to avoid this company Garage Door Repair Kitchener.
