Last year we visited again and found the food to be very ordinary and not reflective of the prices. We raised this with the staff and were told by the owner that the chef had left without warning. Given our long history and good memories, it took us some time, but we decided to give it another chance and returned last Sunday (25/1) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Sadly, the experience was very disappointing. ANTIPASTO DELLA CASA The mortadella, salami, and Wagyu bresaola were very warm, as if they had been sitting next to a fire. They were crispy and oily. We did not send it back, but we didn't eat the meats and only touched the artichokes and sides. LINGUINE MARE We had this dish in October and it was good. This time, the mussels had a strong smell. My wife took one mouthful and couldn't continue. VEAL COTOLETTA My daughter took one bite and said it was raw. After cutting further, it was clearly raw inside, as if it had just come from the butcher. We returned this dish. The waiter came back saying the chef claimed it is "normally raw near the bone." I have never heard of this. Medium or even medium-rare is acceptable, but this was raw. This restaurant used to be one of my favourites, but unfortunately it has gone downhill. It's very sad to say goodbye after so many years, but we won't be returning.

They have all different types of noodles and all noodles are made on site. Unlike Muslim Indonesian restaurants, most of the menu contains pork with a bit of chicken and mushrooms thrown in for good measure. Choose a type of noodle and then choose a topping. Toppings include pork or chicken mince, BBQ pork, spicy chicken and combinations. All are great. Do not leave without eating the triple cooked pork belly, it is Sooo tasty. The BBQ pork might not be bright red (the owner did not want to use the fake colouring), but it is still one of the best examples of cha siu I have eaten. I couldnt agree more. The sizzling plate also makes the broken rice a bit harder at the bottom, almost like a claypot. Which was an interesting twist. The Pork.. I haven't had this good in a while. Banh Loc - I've not tried this before... very similar to most of the "banh" style dishes but wrapped in banana leaf and not heavy. Banh Uot - is very similar to the normal banh cuon (translucent rice noodle rolls) that I am used to however this variety... the "uot" (opaque rice noodle rolls) which means wet banh uses a thicker noodle sheet as wrapper and the filler used was small amounts of pork. I think marinated grilled pork.. the 'cuon' uses those ear mushroom / fungus thingies. and the pork is finer. Arrrggg .. Anyway... bottom line... its frekn YUM! just go try it! :) and no I dont have shares there and the reformed gangster owner has not threatened my family or anything!!
