What a jewel! This hole in the wall soup and sandwich shop just blew me and my wife away! The dishes were obviously made from scratch and were simply divine. I had a brisket sandwich made with pepperoncinis and garlic aoili sauce. The brisket was SO tender and flavorful. I had the soup of the day, which was pinto beans with hatch peppers and it was terrific! My wife had the chicken Reuben and potato salad and loved both! We will define adding this place to our rotation. read more

This place is a hodgepodge of stuff. Almost like having lunch in an antique store. I was quite surprised when my Ruben came out with chicken instead of pastrami, guess I should have looked at the menu closer. It was good and I would probably come back. Got the pig and apple sandwich with side of sausage and beans, was excellent. My wife and daughter both got sandwiches and agreed that this was a great choice to stop at. This is a quaint little sandwich shop in downtown amidst all the shops. You walk in and order your sandwich that is being made in the kitchen right in front of you. Serve your self your drinks, get your dinnerware and seat yourself in what can only be described a Kitchen in your own home. All tables and chairs are what you might find in someone's house not in a restaurant. Windows all around so you can see outside and downtown. The sandwiches tasted excellent, this is a very good restaurant. I'm very pleased that we found it. The service was good, there's only two people, a cook, and a waitress. I stopped at the recommendation of a local merchant and ordered the tuna salad sandwich with potato salad as my side. I was abolutely delighted. The tuna was lightly dressed and had capers, on grilled bread. The potato salad had dill, a lovely tasty twist. The iced tea was fresh and good. The chicken salad with pineapple and chopped egg, on a croissant is hands down the best sandwich within at least a 50 mile radius, The potato salad with dill is something out of a southern grandmas kitchen, and if you like vegetables, the root veggies with sea salt is a cross between vegetables and hot sweet potato mash. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I didn't expect much at first, and it seemed a little pricey for the location, but the food was phenomenal! I got the beef and cheddar sandwich. Cute little spot in downtown Farmersville. We chose it because it had shaded outdoor seating. The sandwiches and sweet tea were really good. The portions are small compared to other deli's we've eaten at but they seem to use quality ingredients. The red potato salad was really good. Wow. Called 10 minutes before closing to place a pick up order. She said no problem. Got there right at closing. They were finishing up my two sandwiches. Never had their food before. Saw the good reviews. Again wow. Food was great. Lady making my sandwiches was so nice and friendly. I got the tuna with side of red potatoes salad. Oh my. Best sandwich ever. So much flavor. Bread was pressed and heated and stand alone delicious. Potato salad made perfect. Wife had the Caribbean Chicken sandwich with sweet carrot and pineapple salad for her side. I hate carrots. Honey dipped thick slab bacon covered in black pepper, accompanied by fried cheese (yes, fried cheese!) atop a bed of arugula salad perfectly coated with bleu cheese dressing and garnished with balsamic glazed cherry tomatoes. I don't have any idea how the food is in this place. We ordered a sandwich and a salad and then waited in a back area (music blaring!) for 20 minutes with no sign of food. Other people who ordered after us had food, so I returned to the counter to ask. I was told the sandwich was done (sitting out uncovered on a counter) and the salad would be ready soon. 10 minutes later, I asked why others had their food and we still did not, and the cook/owner turned around and yelled at me that she had other orders! I said to make my food or refund the money. She said "Fine. We'll do that." I still have no idea why it was a problem to make the salad. Worker said some people had called in for their orders ahead of us, but I saw the people ordering and paying, so that was a ruse. Too bad as this was our first visit and it will be our last one after being yelled at for asking about my order. read more
