Our baby girl who was 12, suffered a terrible aspiration pneumonia and subsequent Megaesophagus a little over a week ago. After 6 nights in the ICU at UF Vet school and us trying everything from oxygen to NG tube with tube feeds to IV fluids & IV antibiotics, our baby couldn't overcome the odds. I contacted Lap of Love this past Wednesday when we decided to withdraw care and take her home for the best few days we could offer her. Every hour we had her home was spent loving her. I had made an appointment for this morning so my husband, myself, & her nanny could be here holding her together. Dr. Anika came to our home & was so kind and gave us time & answering our questions.I set up everything for billing on the first call to them so this morning thankfully was just a signature. We opted for private cremation and they handled the rest. We were allowed to have our sweet girl outside on our back porch with the fan on her just as she loved most. After some pain meds with muscle relaxer & sedative, she made us a beautiful paw cast that she left us. Our baby girl felt no pain and was so peaceful. The heartbreak of losing a fur baby is so incredibly hard but knowing this company exists to do it peacefully in our home, surrounded by our pack, gave us peace. We are so grateful for what the staff and doctors do for those who have chosen to let their fur babies go with dignity and in their own environment. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts to everyone whom we interacted with for calls and at home.

I think the world of Julianne for putting her heart into rescuing all these animals in need. Help her keep it going if you can, this is a 5 star rescue, they are one of best I have ever encountered. All I can say is Animal Angels is simply wonderful on one of the worst days you'll ever have. From the very first email interaction they were kind and understanding and when Dr. Jenn arrived that morning she was so incredibly compassionate and took time to explain what would happen and gave me all the time I needed in those final moments. I've done this at a vets office before and there is absolutely no comparison. To be at home with your fur baby and not having to take that final car ride where you come back without them, it's so so so incredibly worth it. I can't recommend Animal Angels enough. 15/10.

I figured they'd take him out in a box but she had a beautifully-decorated basket and even the backseat of the car had his name on a little chalkboard. I suggest if you have the means, you should euthanize your pet at home. She quit eating, drinking, and walking in just two days. To end Lily's suffering, we called Lap of Love 0530am and left voice mail for urgent help! At 0600am Matt called and said "Dr. Sarah will arrive between 11 am and 12 pm. We are here to help make this process as peaceful for you and Lily as possible." Matt explained everything and followed up with an informative email. Dr. Sarah called us before arriving at the scheduled time. She was very compassionate, caring, understanding, professional, and was a blessing to Lily and our family. Lily was first given a sedative to relax her and after she closed her eyes a few minutes later was given a shot and went to heaven. We were given a Paw Print of Lily's paw embedded in clay with her name on it, some hair taken from Lily's back and in a small clear container with Love on it, and a wonderful pamphlet that I cherish called Eternal Paw Prints. In two days received an informative email from Jennifer of Lap of Love who said, "Lily's urn will be ready to come home in approximately 10 - 14 days." Lily came home eight days later. It was a beautiful carved wooden box with Lily engraved on identification plate on the front. I'm staying busing working on a photo and video album of Lily and reading a wonderful book a second time titled Rescuing Sprite: A Dog Lover's Story of Joy and Anguish by Mark Levin. My family and I have heartfelt thanks, blessings, and appreciation for everyone.

They have cared for our retired guide dog, Martin, with a level of compassion and dedication that goes far beyond what we ever expected. When Martin began having mobility issues, they came to our home to provide red light therapy and other treatments that truly helped get him back on his feet. Throughout every stage of his care, Diane and her team listened to us, respected our wishes, and always made us feel like we were partners in every decision. We never felt pressured into doing anything we weren't comfortable with, and that meant the world to us. Most recently, Martin experienced a very serious medical emergency with a fever of 105 degrees. Diane and her team responded immediately, arriving at our home in what felt like the blink of an eye. They cared for Martin as if he were their own dog, showing the same love, urgency, and attention they would give a member of their own family. In one of the scariest moments we've experienced as pet owners, they gave us comfort, confidence, and exceptional care. One of the greatest gifts Pawsome Pet Care offers is bringing veterinary care into your home. Anyone who has had a sick or aging pet knows how stressful it can be to load them into the car, drive to a clinic, and then sit in a waiting room while they're frightened, uncomfortable, or in pain. Instead, Martin was able to remain in the comfort and familiarity of his own home, surrounded by the people who love him. That alone made an incredible difference in his care and his comfort. They have cared for both of our dogs as though they were part of their own family. The truth is, after everything they've done for us, Diane and her team have become part of ours. Their kindness, professionalism, knowledge, and genuine love for animals shine through in every interaction. If you're looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional veterinary care, I cannot recommend Pawsome Pet Care highly enough. Don't hesitate to call Diane and her team. Your pets will be treated with love, dignity, and the highest level of care, and you'll quickly understand why they mean so much to our family.

The gal that checked me in was very nice and personable and I didn't have to wait that long before Taylor greeted me and took myself and Mimi (cat) back to the exam room. I made Taylor aware that Mimi was not a good patient due to a bad experience with a previous vet years ago. She's never gotten over it. Dr. Howard came in and was also made aware of how Mimi was abused and that she would be upset with anything that was done. Taylor and Dr. Howard were so respectful, patient and kind with Mimi. Mimi sensed that and although she still wasn't happy being there or them, she did very well. I also want to thank Kat assisting Taylor and Dr. Howard. She got what was needed in a timely manner & she has a great smile! A lot of credit to Dr. Howard on the best exam Mimi's ever had in 13 years! She was slow, gentle and very through. Prior to Mimi's rabies shot Taylor was sweet enough to get Mimi one of the tubes of what I call gravy. Mimi loves that. At first she was hesitant so I had Taylor put some in my hand and while Mimi was licking it up Dr. Howard gently gave Mimi her shot. Normally Mimi would have jumped and loudly protested. She didn't do either one! She did hiss which is no big deal, but her normal rage didn't happen. For the first time ever while I was talking to the doctor and Mimi was still on the examination table she laid down. I took my hand off of her and she stayed on the table instead of jumping down and running to get into carrier. That told me volumes about how much more comfortable she'd become on her first visit. All animal lovers know how they can sense positive and negative situations. That was a stamp of approval from Mimi I've never seen ever in 13 years! Mimi & I are new to Gainesville and after reading the reviews on Town & Country I felt confident in taking Mimi there. I'm so thankful that I did.
